This work is the result of intensive research in the field of geography that presents important reflections on theoretical / methodological concepts this science and other sciences. And understand the materialization of activities of social recognition of groups LGBT‟s - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender - especially the emergence of political and cultural events, it becomes the main focus of this research. Initially, the work presents narratives of life stories of individuals who make up the LGBT social movement in the city of Cruz Alta-RS, which are indispensable for understanding the construction of a network of friendship that resulted in the production of tactics and strategies to recognition and exercise of sexuality. The paper aims to present a methodology based on the positionality of the researcher, as it stands as researched. Come here a new theoretical model already presented by Geographies Feminists and Queers who observe a moment of rupture with traditional methodologies. Secondly, the paper presents the city of Cruz Alta-RS and its historical formation and identity, which directly influenced the formation of territoriality specific recognition groups LGBT's. Moreover, the work aims to present and redeem the emergence of LGBT movements in Brazil, and its importance to the deconstruction of a heteronormative society only. At this time, we also feature local movement LGBT, which is a result of a number of factors that promoted the creation of the Party of Diversity, the main object of this research. And finally, the work seeks to understand the importance of social networks and virtual materials in the execution of the event, and the process of territorial relational and locational plots produced from the Party Diversity, which put the city of Cruz Alta - RS as a territory of exercise and social recognition of sexualities LGBT‟s. / O presente trabalho é o resultado de uma intensa pesquisa no campo da Geografia que apresenta importantes reflexões acerca de conceitos teórico-metológocicos desta ciência e para outras ciências. E entendermos a materialização de atividades de reconhecimento social dos grupos LGBT‟s Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transgêneros principalmente pela emergência de eventos políticos e culturais, torna-se foco principal desta pesquisa. Inicialmente, o trabalho apresenta narrativas das histórias de vida de sujeitos que compõem o movimento social LGBT na cidade de Cruz Alta-RS, os quais são indispensáveis para compreendermos a construção de uma rede de amizade que resultou na produção de táticas e estratégias de reconhecimento e exercício da sexualidade. O trabalho se propõe a apresentar uma metodologia baseada na posicionalidade do pesquisador, pois este se coloca como pesquisado. Entra aqui, um novo modelo teórico já apresentado pelas Geografias Feministas e Queers que observam um momento de ruptura com as metodologias tradicionais. Num segundo momento, o trabalho apresenta a cidade de Cruz Alta-RS e sua formação histórica e identitária, a qual influenciou diretamente na formação de territorialidades específicas de reconhecimento de grupos LGBT‟s. Além disso, o trabalho se propõe a apresentar e resgatar o surgimento dos movimentos LGBT no Brasil, e sua importância para a desconstrução de uma sociedade unicamente heteronormativa. Neste momento, também apresentamos o movimento LGBT local, o qual é resultado de uma série de fatores que promoveram a criação da Festa da Diversidade, objeto principal desta pesquisa. E por fim, o trabalho busca entender a importância das redes sociais e virtuais na efetivação material do evento, e o processo de territorialização das tramas relacionais e locacionais produzidas a partir da Festa da Diversidade, que colocam a cidade de Cruz Alta-RS como território de exercício e reconhecimento social das sexualidades LGBT‟s.
