Vlněna – potenciál rozvoje postindustriálního Brna / Vlněna - potential of the post-industrial complex of Brno

Šipulová, Janica January 2012 (has links)
My project is about existing area called Vlněna in the city of Brno. Te textile factory had been built during last hundred years. Last twenty years have brought changes and it lost its function. I am opening the question about value of this area. I believe it can be a part of the city. Simoply to have streets, houses and to be accommodated. Its very flexible with its overspaced buildings. The atmosphere is threshold. Its very special and remarkable. The object of Vlněna brings value to Brno. But its impossible to measure this by numbers or fast looking. The project created a new fictional quarter in Brno. Its valuable because of the special identical atmosphere and its position close to Main station and city center. New inhabitants brings life to all corners. It has became very popular throughout all generations. It has favorite meeting points. Its become an attraction for the whole city. This place is just here!

MÜLLEROVÁ, Barbora January 2018 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is revitalization of brownfields - reuse of abandoned, unused or devastated areas and objects. The main objective is to describe the location of the selected brownfield and to analyze the possibilities of its new use. Following objective is own site design, based on a previous analysis of brownfield usage suggestions. There are examples of successful revitalization of other brownfields in this thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis includes information obtained from specialized literature, monographs, journals, conference proceedings and Internet sources in Czech and English. This is a general issue of brownfields (their definition, typology, the origins and reasons for creating brownfields, existing databases, legislation related to the topic, opportunities for revitalization of brownfields and financing of revitalization). Practical part of the thesis deals with specific choosed territory, its description and it especially analyses two suggestions for its new use. It includes the characteristics of area of Beroun and the choosed site, SWOT analysis, spatial studies and analysis of new site usage suggestions. PERLA Ústí nad Orlicí / PEARL Ústí nad Orlicí

Tomková, Iva January 2016 (has links)
The object of the study is urban planning - architectural design strategy of conversion and revitalization of the factory PEARL 01 in Usti nad Orlici. The area of the site is about 3 hectares, an area eight times larger than the actual main square in the town. Most of the land is owned by the city. Current status of the area does not match the aesthetic or functional demands placed on this space, which is intended for expansion of the city center, whose current capacity does not match the needs of even the size of the city. Textile industry and Perla itself played an important role in the history of the region and influenced the lives of most local citizens. Therefore, the proposal seeks to retain as much of the original structure as possivle and with them the charm and spirit of the original factory and its buildings. The area is cleaned up, breathes and becomes in the first time in history a part of the urban space, and not a big barrier in its center.

OSTROV V OBŘANECH - AREÁL BÝVALÉ ESSLEROVY TEXTILNÍ TOVÁRNY / THE ISLAND IN OBŘANY - THE AREA OF THE FORMER ESSLER TEXTILE FACTORY

Vítková, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to revive the former textile factory complex, which is located on a unique place - on the island between the river Svitava and the race. The main idea is to make the area accessible and to use its potential, focusing primarily on the link of history, identity of the place, quality public space and the functional content of the whole area. The concept of the whole work is the planning in time and the gradual phase of integrating brownfields back into the lives of not only local Brno citizens. The island in Obřany could thus become the heart of this city district, a meeting place with a rich cultural life, a space for relaxation, activities and leisure activities close to nature in a charming environment with a touch of Brno's industrial history.

Řešení brownfields v rámci České republiky - Tepna Náchod / The Brownfields solutions within the Czech Republic - Tepna Nachod

Haraštová, Nela January 2019 (has links)
The assignment of diploma thesis was processed the area of the textile factory in Náchod – named Tepna. As part of this work I tried to suggest a live continuation of the historical core of city Náchod and connect the new district to the Plhov housing estate. As a goal I have set revitalization of building Bílá Tepna whitch is actually abandoned. Bíla Tepna is the last standing object from original development and it indicates the indentity of the place. In one part of territory I put a new block bulding with mostly residential function. This area surrounds the main square and object Bíla Tepna. The second part of area consists of terraced family houses with children’s playground. By my suggestion I wainted residents to show how it is possible design the development if object Bílá Tepna will be preserved.

Prázdné urbánní monumenty – aktivace zhlaví Pražského viaduktu v Brně urbanisticko-architektonická studie / Unused urban monuments – activation of the head of the Prague viaduct in Brno Urban planning and architectural study

Fučíková, Jarmila January 2019 (has links)
First of all, the work should point out the possibilities of activating the non-functioning post-industrial area. The aim is to remove the “wedge” into the center and to bring missing urban activities to the site. For this purpose, I suggest the completion of a city blocks with a housing function, a square with a food market, a city park, and a connection to the surrounding of industrial buildings. The aim is to integrate the site into the city through the completion and rehabilitation of industrial houses. The great creative challenge is to preserve the genius loci of this post-industrial landscape.
