Reflexe československé měnové reformy v dobových periodikách na Olomoucku v porovnání s celostátními periodiky s využitím archivních fondů KSČ Olomouc a KNV Olomouc / The reflection of the czechoslovak monetary reform in periodic newspapers from Olomouc region in comparison to broadcast newspapers with use of the documents of KSČ Olomouc and KNV Olomouc

Čapka, Karel January 2019 (has links)
The thesis aimed to analyze the depiction of the monetary reform in 1953 in Czechoslovakia in the regional printed media in Olomouc (Stráž lidu and Časopis Krajského národního výboru Olomouc) and to compare the published reports at the regional level with the national press (Rudé právo and Svobodné slovo). A more detailed look into the situation was also provided by examining the archival documents of political authorities (HSTD, the press department of the KV KSČ in Olomouc and the KNV Olomouc) who were in charge of the analyzed newspapers and the aim was to find out whether the written instructions to individual editors on how to report about the economic changes in the newspaper were preserved. For the analysis of archival materials and preserved copies of selected newspapers, I chose the historical direct method, historical-comparative method and narrative analysis. Research in the archives did not provide direct evidence that the competent state authorities in charge of the analyzed periodicals passed instructions on what is to be printed about monetary reform to the editors of each analysed newspapers. However, the fact that the notes on instructions have not been preserved does not preclude their existence. Thanks to the historical-comparative method it was possible to find based on the...

Ústředí tiskové dozorčí služby a jeho činnost ve vybraných případových studiích v letech 1938 až 1945 / The press office of the supervisory service and its activities in selected case studies in the years 1938-1945

Ludvík, Matěj January 2014 (has links)
In the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia between years 1939 - 1945 media, as well as the whole society, were controlled by the government of Nazi Germany. The control also included censorship of the press that operated for the benefit of the occupying power. Its essential component, Central Press Supervisory Service, had to approve every issue before it released to the press. But it also published daily instructions for the newsrooms, where two censors operated together with working journalists and their editors in chief. Our work uses four case studies to show how censor's directives influenced the final form of the selected newspapers.

Karlová, Věra January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis Sequel novel in the Czechoslovakian press from 1945 - 1948 deals with historical content analysis of three newspapers: Lidova demokracie, Svobodne slovo, Rude pravo and seven magazines: Kveten, Novy svet, Svet v obrazech, Rada zen, Kvety, Sobota and Vyvoj in the period of time 1. 1. 1945 - 31. 12. 1948. Theoretic part consists of historical context of fiction in newspapers as well as magazines and also explanation of situation in political and the media sphere, mostly in the press in above mentioned period. Ministry of information played a big part in a postwar press development and it had monopoly on entire paper used for making printed material and thanks to that fact they had newspapers and magazines publishers in a Czech territory under control. The practical, mainstay part of dissertation is focused in describing the issue of sequel novels by their detailed analysis in particular periodic, which has various specializations and represents different political part. Novels are thoroughly analyzed, it's story is described and the main topic of each series is defined. Emphasis are put on data, numbers of publication, number of novel's parts, novels authors, their nationality, political orientation and their literary style. At the end of each chapter the novels are put in order...

Komparační studie čtyř romských životních příběhů / Komparační studie čtyř romských životních příběhů

Ryvolová, Karolína January 2015 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to do a comparative analysis of four Romany life-stories in prose from different parts of the world and identify features which may justly be called characteristic of Romany writing. The comparison of Victor Vishnevsky's Memories of a Gypsy, Mikey Walsh's Gypsy Boy and Gypsy Boy on the Run, Andrej Giňa's Paťiv. Ještě víme, co je úcta and Irena Eliášová's Naše osada yields valuable insights into how Romany writers construct their identity and to what extent their current work relates to the existing literary genres. Because of Romany studies' multidisciplinary nature, the extensive introduction lays the theoretical foundations for the analysis. I proceed from the characteristics of Romany studies in general in part 1.2 to the way it was practised during my undergraduate years in Prague as opposed to the Western tradition (part 1.3). Using a case study of the schism Romany studies are currently facing in the Czech Republic, in part 1.4 I attempt to illustrate the more general epistemological challenges the field has been grappling with between essentialist/primordialist and radical constructivist views. As there is a definite scarcity of theoretical literature conceptualising Romany writing, in part 1.5 of the introduction the existing body of work is assessed and found...

Srovnání amerického a mexického pojetí svobody projevu / Comparison of U.S. and Mexican approach to freedom of speech

Drhlíková, Eva January 2014 (has links)
Freedom of expression is a fundamental human right which is important not only for the intellectual integrity of an individual but also for the healthy development of the whole society. The work represents both general arguments for freedom of expression and codification of freedom in two different legal cultures. In the United States the freedom of expression is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution, which complements the rich jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of the United States. In Mexico, the right is regulated in Article 6 of the Constitution. The work shows how both countries reached the current legislation on the basis of examination of legal developments and cultural values. The values of the societies are presented on the basis of Hofstede's cultural dimensions. The core of the thesis is to compare the legal limits, which is made primarily on the basis of judicial practice of the Supreme Courts of both countries. Emphasis is placed on four main areas which are related to freedom of speech: (i) fighting words including hate speech, (ii) symbolic speech, (iii) obscenity, and (iv) defamation. In addition to the legal limits the work interprets also the most significant actual limits in both countries. Finally, the author examines the relationship between freedom of expression and...
