Demonstra como as infrações às determinações dos Códigos de Posturas Municipais no que se refere de modo geral ao uso do espaço urbano e, especificamente, ao exercício das atividades dos trabalhadores de rua implicou em falas pejorativas sobre aqueles que faziam da rua seu ambiente de trabalho. Identifica ainda algumas das categorias profissionais que tomavam a rua como palco de exercício de seus ofícios e de que modo o aluguel de trabalhadores livres se configurou como um traço característico da herança escravista brasileira.
