Francis Poulenc ( 1899-1963 ) is one of the most important French composers in the early 20th -century. Influenced by Neo-classicism, Poulenc developed his own personal musical language which is light, humorous, and sagacious. He wrote in many different musical genres during his life, including ballet, opera, piano, vocal, choral, and chamber music. In 1936, after his good friend Pierre-Octave Ferroud¡¦ sudden death in a car accident and religious experience in Rocamadour, Poulenc started to compose choral music, including Petites Voix. Petites Voix, completed in 1936, includes five short pieces for three-part treble voices. Poulenc chose five lovely poems as the text from Madeleina Ley¡¦s poetry Petites Voix, and created five short choral songs. La Petite Fille Sage ( The Good Little Girl ) describes a substantial day of a little girl. Le Chien Perdu ( The Lost Dog ) is a conversation between a kid and a dog. En Renreant de L¡¦école ( On the Way Home from School ) describes the surprising things that happened on the way home from school. Le Petit Garçon Malade ( The Little Sick Boy ) describes a sick boy whose mind is full of feelings of helplessness. Le Hérisson ( The Hedgehog ) talks about a father who brings a Hedgehog home and some funny things happen in the family. Each song describes a little story happening in daily life from a child¡¦s point of view, and Poulenc has put these texts to music with excellent technique to express childlike innocence. This master report consists of seven parts. The first part is an introduction. It is followed by background of early 20th-century french music, a biographic sketch of Poulenc life, characteristics of Poulenc secular choral works, a biographic sketch of Madeleina Ley life, analysis of Petites Voix, and interpretation of Petites Voix. The last part is the conclusion. There are three appendices at the end of this paper. Appendix A contains the phonetic alphabets and the general rules of French diction. Appendix B offers the translation and a French pronunciation guide for the lyrics of these five pieces. Appendix C is a list of Poulenc choral works

In 1927 an experimental farm was established in Carbon County, Utah. The farm is on a new irrigation tract south of the Price River and about four miles south of Price. The agricultural problems of the Carbon County Experimental Farm and the locality which it serves are distinctly different from those of most of the farming sections in Utah. The soil of this region is of a sandy, silty nature apparently with deflocculated colloids which make it somewhat difficult to manage. There is a low percentage of organic matter in this soil, and because of this and its impervious condition the soil absorbs water slowly. The range in moisture content at which the soil may be tilled is rather narrow.

Private enforcement, which primarily represents individuals&rsquo / right to claim damage arisen from violations of competition law, supplements public enforcement and ensures indemnification of individual loss. However, private enforcement of competition law has fallen behind public law enforcement in laws presented in this study, other than those enforced in the USA. Realizing this fact, European Commission, has recently focused on the enhancement and facilitation of private enforcement in the Community competition law. The lagging behind of private enforcement mainly sources from the cultural and traditional differences in the understanding of liability law between Anglo Saxon Law and Continental Law. Anglo Saxon law tradition is inclined to leave the matter to individual action, whereas Continental Law is in more favor of strengthening regulatory mechanisms. More specific obstacles to the improvement of private enforcement are, yet not exhaustively, indefiniteness of legal basis of claims, involvement of complex economic analysis while stating the case, courts&rsquo / lack of technical knowledge, indefinite relationship between judiciary and competition authorities, problems in proving damage and causality, absence of facilitating procedural mechanisms such as class actions, treble damage and discovery rights. In the Community law context it is also highly probable to encounter peculiar problems arisen from co-existence of different national laws. Additionally, implementation of the Community competition law by national authorities may also lead to the weakening of the Single Market objective. Through this study, we will present probable solutions by depicting all these problems.
