Využití flotační hlušiny ve stavebnictví

Chobot, Marian January 2015 (has links)
This Thesis, entitled Utilization of Flotation tailings in the Construction Business, has been formulated and developed in the Darkov and ČSM Coal Mines. All the findings acquired in the abovementioned mines will be used as basic information for the future utilization of this fine-grained waste, which is a by-product of black coal processing. While developing and writing this Thesis, I was allowed to observe the processing at both the Darkov and ČSM Coal Mines. The theoretical part of this Thesis is dedicated to the description of processing of black coal, from the moment of extraction to the point of expedition or storage appropriate storage areas. Flotation tailings are composed of fine-grained waste created during flotation processing of black coal. The flotation tailings are deposited (floated) into an assigned depository area - the Pilňok tailings pond. The theoretical part of the Thesis also deals with the consequences of coal extraction, which impact the natural environment, and with reparatory actions undertaken to alleviate such consequences. Finally, a chapter within the theoretical part is also dedicated to the possibilities of utilization of flotation tailings, followed by the legislative framework that governs the processing of flotation tailings and an associated certification process. The practical part of the Thesis lists the results of flotation tailings sample examination, which is essential for product certification. The Conclusion evaluates the examination results and the requirements of the Cihelna Polom s.r.o. (Polom Brick Factory, ltd.) with regard to the future long-term utilization of flotation tailings in the production of brick products.

Sukcese vegetačního krytu na hlušinových odvalech v Ostravě

Jaroš, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the evaluation of succession on spoil heap complex Petr Bezruč and spoil heap of the coking plant Svoboda since the last research carried by Koutecký (2004) and the care proposal of similar devastated sites. A total of 100 phytosociological relevés were made and 100 soil and 204 dendrochronological samples were taken on both sites. The analysis of the obtained data revealed identical changes of EIV on both sites, indicating the canopy increase of the tree species and alteration of the species composition, which was attributed to the ongoing succession. The difference among plots on spoil heaps and the difference among both spoil heaps was also evaluated. Spontaneous and directed succession was determined as the most appropriate means of restoration.

Effects of charcoal and wood fuel production on Ghana´s vegetation - A case study of Varimpere in the Wa West District

Osei, Priscilla January 2015 (has links)
Unrestrained population growth especially in the developing countries, the necessity for existence as well as the desire for comfort are the major causes of environmental resources depletion in the world with particular reference to Ghana. One of the most exploited environmental resources in Ghana which is mostly not replaced is vegetation specifically trees. This paper aims to look into the effect of charcoal and wood fuel on Ghana's vegetation. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches were used in data collection and analysis. These methods include: questionnaire and interview. The findings show that charcoal and wood fuel is the means of revenue for the people of Varimpere village leading to desertification due to the source of domestic fire in use. Also other means of domestic fuel such as wind, solar, kerosene, electricity, coal and gas are not made available at affordable rates and therefore does not encourage the use of continuous and constant supply. Shea and Mahogany trees were the most preferred species due to the quality of charcoal and wood fuel products it produces. The findings also revealed that forestry services division whose role is to regulate the cutting of trees was not playing this role well due to inadequate personnel, logistics among others. The study concluded that measures of mitigating desertification such as afforestation and planting trees programs. Also some mitigation measures included creation of other jobs such formation of women groups to encourage the expansion of the Shea butter processing industry.

Řešení prašnosti v oblasti lomu Jiří / Solution of dustiness in the area of the quarry Jiří

Fattoum Maršíková, Martina January 2015 (has links)
In my thesis I deal with dustiness from the surface down, respectively, from the quarry Jiří and the influence of dust on surrounding communities, which are in the immediate vicinity of the quarry. Because of changes to the law on air protection law of ranked in stationary sources related activities sorting and other cold coal preparation and surface mines fuels, ores, industrial and their processing, primarily mining. With respect to this change mining companies should pay more attention to dustiness issues that arise during the actual mining of coal transport and further treatment of raw material. The company Sokolovská uhelná, p.n., a.s., should soon prepare a project leading to reduce dust in near quarries. I evaluated here already established measures to reduce and disposal of dustiness produced in relation to mining activities and I tried suggest any other solution to eliminate dust.

Juříček, Vlastimil January 2014 (has links)
The goal of the thesis is identification and analysis of key risks for Czech district heating sector with focus on coal availability and impact of the EU regulatory measures. In the Czech Republic district heating sector is an important part of energy industry. It serves heating needs of 1.5 million households and substantial amount of industry needs. Currently the question of possible brown coal shortage is becoming urgent. Dynamically changing regulatory framework generating requirements for additional investments is destabilizing. The sector is defined, its competitiveness is evaluated and further the risks are analyzed. Based on brown coal market analysis it is concluded that the current market situation can be considered as stabilized. In the long term perspective the question of possible lifting of the coal mining limits remains crucial. It is concluded that impacts of the EU regulatory measures can't be objectively evaluated at the moment. But it can be assumed that most of district heating companies will be finally able to meet the requirements.

Manual Debarking Methods in Mangrove Stands Metody manuálního odkorňování výřezů v porostech mangrove

Tylš, Pavel January 2019 (has links)
Manual debarking of logs in Thai mangrove forest is being implemented for the purpose of charcoal production. In the local conditions, workers debark the harvested logs with homemade mallets made from mangrove wood. The thesis compares this local accustomed method with two other imported methods known in Europe, drawknife debarking and peeling spud debarking. Two basic criteria saying about the effectivity of debarking, i.e. time of debarking particular logs and the difficulty were investigated. The difficulty was investigated with measuring the pulse rate and blood saturation with oxygen of the worker during debarking works. Measurements took place in mangrove forest in Thailand and were realized with the help of Department of Forest Engineering, Faculty of Forestry from the Kasetsart University.
