This diploma thesis deals with construction of new mixed-used building in Brno at Terezy Novákové street. The relevant estate lies on building plot number 49, which is purposed as building ground. There are existing buidings at relevant estate which will be removed. When the proposition for the building was being drafted, an extra focus was placed on use of public zone of building. The proposed capacity of building consists of 21 living units with its own internal and external parking places. The mixed-used building has five floors, there are one underground floor and four above-ground floors. There are parking zone and technical background of the building in the undergound floor. The first above-ground floor is used for commercial purposes with its own parking zone. Others above-ground floors are used for living purposses. Living area and public area are separated.

Reconstruction in the central urban area. Design public urban space objects with new restaurant, the city market and a printer object conversion. Objects and area will contain all the necessary functions associated with the movement of visitors and movement of pasants. An important part of the solution will transform the river embankment. This is a broader vision of the future and possibilities of urban centers with the potential of finding the historical core.

The project includes a study of the urban redevelopment an urban public space, formerly a laundry service, in the central urban area. Conversion of this complex includes the revitalization and redevelopment of old buildings and surroundings, new buildings, open spaces for relaxing with a wide program of functions and services such as fitness, galleries, restaurants, office space, retail space, housing and loft living. The objects and surfaces are placed or created for an easy living for visitors and movement of pedestrians. An important part of the project is to address and transform the river embankment. The study takes into account all the specificities of contemporary architecture in the historic environment.

The subject of this diploma thesis is to continue on the previous atelier work, which was focused on elaboration of a strategic urban-architectural study of the Kraví hora area and the BUT holding located there. A multifunctional facility, which would include activities that BUT still lacks, should be designed there. In any case, it should not be an extension of the teaching, research or accommodation capacities, since there have been built enough of these by BUT recently. At the same time, the proposed activities should not be controversial with the interests of the city. The BUT area at Kraví hora is one of the most valuable areas of the city of Brno. The city, which has tried to buy it from BUT several times, has an eminent interest in this area. However BUT considers it as its "family silver", because they realize its extraordinary value. Nevertheless, due to the binding regulatory conditions, construction possibilities are very limited. The aim of this study is to find such a use of this area, which would be a compromise corresponding to both the city's expectations and the needs of BUT. The intention of the previous project, which has been continued by this diploma thesis, was the removal of unsatisfactory buildings and the reduction of the garden colonies; despite to a study created by the City of Brno but partially kept, cultivated and reorganized; and rebuilding of the BUT area, which will be opened to the public and communicate with park. The public will obtain an access to nowadays inaccessible and impermeable areas by removing inappropriate buildings and fences, as well as by the modification of the public space and creating one major spine communication realized as an extension of the existing road and which will serve only for the supply, hikers and cyclists. The subject of the diploma thesis is to design a project study and a building program that would become a compromise between the requirements of the city of Brno and BUT in the area of Kraví hora in the Brno city center. The city of Brno would like to transform the area into a public park. But BUT considers it as its "family silver" because they realize its extraordinary value. Options of a constructions are really limited because of many area regulations. My proposal counts on the demolition of all existing buildings in the area, respects property area relations , protection zone, continuity with existing traffic roads, height regulation, imaginary raster of surrounding buildings, slope of terrain and orientation to the cardinal points. My suggest represents a study of five groups of objects which creating a rectangular raster. As a compromise solution, I chose the presentation and promotional areas of the individual faculties of BUT for the content of the buildings. Faculties have spaces for hobby groups for the public comprise all age groups included. I also designed the BUT Museum of History, a multimedia hall, a cafeteria, studios, a student leisure center and an observation tower with a climbing wall.
