Perfil epidemiológico da tuberculose urogenital no Distrito Federal, Brasil, em nove anos (2001 a 2009) /

O objetivo deste estudo transversal foi conhecer o perfil epidemiológico da tuberculose urogenital no Distrito Federal, Brasil, no período de nove anos. Foi realizado estudo descritivo de todos os pacientes diagnosticados com tuberculose urogenital no período de 2001 a 2009, notificados pelo Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) e residentes no Distrito Federal. Dos 44 casos estudados, a faixa etária de maior acometimento foi entre 41 a 60 anos (59,1%), sexo feminino (68,2%). Quanto à escolaridade, observou-se grau superior em 40,9% dos casos e médio em 18,2%. A renda familiar foi superior a cinco salários mínimos em 47,7% dos casos. Em 65,9% dos casos havia história de contato com tuberculose e 88,6% dos pacientes apresentavam teste tuberculínico reator. O estudo concluiu que o perfil epidemiológico da tuberculose urogenital no Distrito Federal, Brasil, não está diretamente relacionado às condições socioeconômicas e culturais precárias, conforme a literatura indica / Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) remains the infectious disease that has caused more damage to the human race throughout its history. The objective of this survey was to know the epidemiological profile of urogenital tract tuberculosis in Distrito Federal, Brazil, in the period of nine years. Descriptive study was conducted of all patients diagnosed with urogenital tuberculosis in the period 2001 to 2009, reported by the Information System for Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) and resident in Distrito Federal. Of 44 cases studied, the major age range was between 41 to 60 years (59.1%) and female (68.2%). As for education, higher degree was observed in 40.9% of the cases and high school, in 18.2%. Family income was more than five minimum wages in 47.7% of the cases. In 65.9% of the cases there was a history of contact with tuberculosis patients and 88.6% of the patients had tuberculin skin test reactor. The study concluded that the epidemiological profile of urogenital tuberculosis in Distrito Federal, Brazil, is not directly related to the precarious socioeconomic and cultural conditions, according to the literature indicates / Mestre
