Forty five female mice were used, rantomized in 3 experimental groups with 15 animals each group. The evaluation healing was accomplished by morphometry being evaluated the proportion size of the representatives tissue and cellular of samples of obtained tissues of the abdominal wall in time zero, 48, 96 and 144 hours after celiotomy. Twenty-four hours after the surgical intervention, the ultrasound application began on the surgical wound. The application of US in the pulsed way resulted larger proportion polymorphonuclear size, fibroblasts and angiogenesis at the 48 hours when compared with the group control and the group that it received ultrasound application in the continuous way (p 0,05). T hose resul ts suggest that the application of US in the pulsed way can be recommended in the treatment of surgical wounds in the abdominal cavity / Neste trabalho foram utilizados dois protocolos de ultra-som terapia, nos modos contínuo e pulsado, para avaliar a cicatrização de feridas cirúrgicas em ratos submetidos a celiotomia.
