Langová, Kateřina January 2018 (has links)
Vinohradnictví a vinařství z pohledu práva 2018 Viniculture and wine production from the legal point of view Abstract This thesis focuses on the existing legal regulation of viticulture and winemaking in the Czech Republic and aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the related legal norms. As the legal regulation of viticulture and winemaking is part of environmental law, the thesis focuses both on the relation of this activity to the environment, and on its relation to other relevant areas of law. A particular focus is put on Act No. 321/2004 Coll. on viticulture and winemaking, the main legal regulation in this area of interest, but also on other laws, which provide subsections of viticulture and winemaking activities. The thesis is subdivided into 7 chapters. The first chapter focuses on the historical development of the legal regulation of viticulture and winemaking in the Czech Republic since its beginnings until the 1990s. The second chapter deals with the position of viticulture and winemaking within the Law of the Czech Republic. Due to the nature of viticulture and winemaking, this activity can be considered part of agricultural law, which consists of legal regulations from multiple areas including both private and public law legal regulations. The third chapter is devoted to the sources of...

A 'civilized' drink and a 'civilizing' industry: wine growing and cultural imagining in colonial New South Wales

McIntyre, Julie Ann January 2009 (has links)
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) / My starting point for this thesis was the absence of a foundation history of Australian wine growing conducted by an historian rather than researchers in other disciplines or the media. I have used existing work on wine history in New South Wales from 1788 to 1901 alongside a significant body of new research to create an historical argument suitable for incorporation into more broadly-themed narratives of Australian history and to inform studies of wine growing in other academic fields. My main argument is that although wine growing proved of little economic value in colonial primary production compared with nation-building commodities - such as pastoralism, wheat growing and gold - advocates of the cultivation of wine grapes believed wine growing embodied beneficial, even transformative, cultural value so they persisted in attempting to create a ‘civilizing’ industry producing a ‘civilized’ drink despite lacklustre consumption of their product and very modest profits. Several times, from 1788 to 1901, these advocates spoke out or wrote about wine and wine growing as capable of creating order in a wild or ‘savage’ landscape and within a settler society shaped culturally by shifting adaptations to both imported and ‘native’ influences in agriculture as well as alcohol production, consumption and distribution. While the methodological framework employed here falls mainly within cultural and economic history, sociological theories have contributed to findings on causation. The result is a comprehensive narrative of colonial wine growing in New South Wales enriched by links to key developments in Australian colonial history and with reference to wine growing in other British colonies or former territories.

Stavba v krajině - Winery / Architecture in landscape - Winery

Ryšková, Marie January 2010 (has links)
Purpose of the project was to create a centre of the wine culture that would represent south Moravian viniculture not only all over the country, but abroad as well. It will become the connection point between wine makers and public. The building will offer the full support for the wine makers - promotions, conferences, modern technological equipment. The guests will be able to experience wine in all posssible ways - as a drink, as a form of meeting each other, in wellness. There will be a lot of events taking place, so the wine center is highly used in all seasons of the year. The architecure of the building is trying to integrate to the landscape in a very sensitive way, the human dimension was the most important factor in designing. The main part of the building was situated under the groud so the temperature for the winemaking processes is very still. On the opposite site - in the public part - the building is opening to the nature and gives the magnificent view of the Palava hills and the dams of Nove Mlyny. The building was designed in the most ecological way possible - it uses the rainwater for the processes, there is a sewerage plant based on the biological root principe and the energy for the heating and cooling system of the building is taken from the ground by the heat pump.

Vodní světy Nových Mlýnů: Etnografie vinařů a klimatické změny / Waterworlds of Nové Mlýny: Ethnography of winemakers and climate change

Šimková, Kateřina January 2021 (has links)
This master thesis addresses issues reflecting the socio-natural aspects of draught, one of the devastating consequences of climate change which increasingly affects the Czech Republic. This work uses a field research facility located around reservoirs Nové Mlýny and views it within the waterworlds concept, a term established by authors Kristen Hastrup and Fridy Hastrup. Ethnographic research shows the impact of water and its scarcity on the landscape, local inhabitants and their relationships and practices. A particular focus is given to wine growers and their understanding of draught, climate change and ways for adopting good practices in an area which is gradually drying out. Furthermore, it captures the transformation of practices related to the maintenance of a vineyard and maps individuals affected by the problems of draught in that area. Key words: Ethnography, draught, climate change, waterworlds, water, reservoirs Nové Mlýny, viniculture

Podnikatelský záměr rozvoje firmy / Entrepreneurial Intention of Business Development

Fink, Michael January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of the business plan focused on expansion of the commercial company operating on the market of wine chemistry by one segment of production. More precisely the goal of this thesis is to design the business model of new winery which would use experience of current company management who possesses key factors of production indispensable for realisation of the intended project. Among the main factors we can mention ownership of vineyards with appropriate authorisation to operate in the market, foreign experts on oenology, Italian know-how on cultivation and manufacturing of wine and last but not least the access to capital especially to financial capital and machine facilities. Participation of potential co-investor would play an important role in this business plan. Thanks to his property interests he would help with the acceleration of partial plans and bring specialised market knowledge of the Czech wine-growing sector.
