The thesis focuses on the ranking of ten largest companies in the Czech bakery industry. The ranking is made for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 and it is based on the comprehensive evaluation methods, such as credibility models and spread (ROE - opportunity costs). Results are summarized in the conclusion. Marlenka international was evaluated as a company with the best financial situation.

Thesis Ranking of selected soft drinks manufacturers examines the performance of Coca Cola, Pepsi and Kofola through compilation of ranking. Within the thesis there are constucted four rankings based on four different criteria. The supreme criterion of performance is enterprise value obtained using the method of economic value added. Results stemming from compilation of the rankings are formulated as recommendations for potentnial investor in these companies. Results of individual rankings are compared with each other in order to examine the validity of the use of foreign sources of information for evaluation of the selected criteria.

The objective of the thesis is to determine the market value of the company VAFO PRAHA Ltd. as of 1. 1. 2012. VAFO PRAHA manufactures and sells pet food, in the Czech republic and all over the world. The thesis is divided into following parts: strategic and financial analysis, generators of value, financial plan and business valuation. The valuation is based on the EVA Entity method and as a support an EBITDA multiple was used. The final value spread is determined by the alternative scenarios of the EVA Entity method.

The diploma thesis deals with the profitability of the banking sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the period 2006-2016. The part of the thesis is also to define and assess the determinants of profitability. The theoretical part focuses on summary of specialized studies dealing with the given issue. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on description of the structure of the Czech and Slovak banking sector, including their similar and different features, and the legal framework. There is also examined the development of banking sectors from the macroeconomic perspective. The practical part analyses the development of ROAA and ROAE in both banking sectors. Development is also assessed in the context of the global financial crisis. There is also identified microeconomic and macroeconomic factors influencing the profitability of banks in the Czech and Slovak sectors are identified through regression analysis. The profitability of the banking sector is expressed by indicator ROAE. The thesis also includes a comparison of the obtained results and their comparison with other studies.

The thesis concerns with the quality of life of the individuals with hearing impairment. The thesis is divided into four major parts consisting of subchapters. First major part focuses on general description of the sense of hearing, auditory analyser and difference between these two terms as well as on the classification of the individual auditory impairment types. The next part provides general description of life quality according to various criteria. The last theoretic part focuses on everyday life of aurally impaired individuals. This chapter specifically refers to education and employment of individuals with hearing impairment. A chapter relating to social environment and leisure time is also included. Theoretic part of my thesis is followed by the results of my survey. Two different questionnaires were used aiming at two different groups of survey respondents. Partial conclusions were drawn from each questionnaire survey. The questionnaires mentioned were elaborated in accordance with interdisciplinary division of life quality as well as with subjective perception of quality of life. The foundation stone of this thesis is to perform a financial analysis of Czech non-financial companies for the years from 2007 to 2009 in order to evaluate development of the basic groups of financial analysis ratios before and after the outbreak of the financial crisis. Based on this analysis, I analyze the changes of the selected ratios in relation with the macroeconomic development. This is carried out by means of the description in words and for some significant changes using correlation analysis with GDP. The analysis results in the findings that the changes of ratios of return on assets and return on equity were negative in the analyzed period and for each year the factors of these changes are tracked using the pyramidal decomposition. In the statistical part of my thesis I partially succeeded in proving linear correlation between return on assets and GDP and a lower confidence level linear correlation between personnel cost to revenues ratio and GDP. Also, there were some correlations between individual ratios found to be significant.

The main goal of the thesis is to find market value for the company Komerční banka, a.s. on the date 31st December 2010. At the beginning of the work is described the specifics of banking institutions. The valuation consists of financial analysis, strategic analysis and creating the financial scheme. For the final valuation there is used the method called DCF Equity that discounts all the cash flows that flow to the company's owners. As an additional method was used Bond Pricing Model, market capitalization and market comparison.

The diploma dissertation involves dilemma of self-perception of one´s body in teenagers related to their self-concept. It consists of the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part of dissertation defines personality in general and it also describes the teenage period and its typicall physical and psychical characters including the point of view of some theories of evolution. It also describes dilemma of changes of the body and different points of view of slef-perception of one´s body. The practical part of dissertation demonstrates results of evaluation of self-perception one´s body as well as information about content with physiognomy of one´s body and outer effects which influence the self-perception of one´s body mainly by using the quantitative method. The conclusions pointed to that evaluation of one´s body in connection with self-concept is notable and demonstrate differences and specificities between girl´s and boy´s self-perception of one´s body.

This thesis deals with company capital structure, that is characterized according to methods of horizontal and vertical analysis. Then it deals with prices of particular capital items, costs for capital and influeces on business performance, it means with the calculation of economic value added. Theoretical part describes capital structure items in general, prices of particular items of capital, costs for capital and particular methods for EVA calculation, it means both EVA entity and EVA equity. Practical part characterizes individual items of capital structure and application of chosen model, that is the second model for EVA calculation {--} EVA equity {--} on a concrete company. This calculation was processed through benchmarking on websides of Departement of industry and Trade. The model was applicated on a company, that deals with production of motor and joining vehicles, machines production, machineries production and means of transport repairs {--} ČZ, a.s.
