The costs involved with the use of natural resources pushed the industry to search alternatives in the short and medium term to minimize these costs, trying to reduce its environmental impacts. The search for water consumption reduction by using techniques of reuse and recycling in industrial processes had become part of the strategic development of many company. Basic tools for water and sewage management plan in the industry are water rational use and reuse. The objective of this work was to evaluate on bench scale tests the performance a reverse osmosis system on the treatment of secondary effluent for industrial reuse in a auto part industry. Based on bench scale results the process was evaluated in the industry scale, including a pre-treatment by a microfiltration system to ensure the integrity of the reverse osmosis membranes and efficiency of the Water Reuse System. Thefore explaned technical of sewage secondary treatment by microfiltration and reverse osmosis for water reuse in the auto industry. Finally, were explained about the quantitative and qualitative values of water and sewage system. Such content is useful to the sanitation sector in aspects of feasibility technical analysis for implementation of Reuse Systems in industrial processes and on issues of definition of appropriate technologies for the successful implementation of such systems. Results of this projects: water reuse in industry process: 6.212 m³/month; reduction for 54,27% for month of groundwaters impound and the reduction of 69,47% for month of effluent discharge for environment / Mestrado / Saneamento e Ambiente / Mestre em Engenharia Civil
