Chromosom Y v hybridní zóně myší / Y chromosome in the mouse hybrid zone

Rubík, Pavel January 2011 (has links)
The contact zone between subspecies of house mouse Mus musculus musculus and Mus musculus domesticus is one of the most intensively studied hybrid zones. It is also due to extensive introgression of the Y chromosome of M. m. musculus subspecies to the genetic background of M. m. domesticus. One theory of the origin of the introgression explains it by intragenomic conflict between the sexes. With a set of variable microsatellite markers on the Y chromosome, I have examined the validity of this theory by simple approaches revealing the history of the introgression area. It turned out that overly big variability of our markers makes the revelation of this theory impossible. Our markers have been found suitable for use in the analysis of population structure of house mouse. Thanks to them, we can identify migrants between localities and estimate the level of closeness of the population structure in relation to migrants from the neighborhood. Populations in our analysis proved to be relatively closed and resistant to the influx of migrants. Despite the conclusions of previous research where the dispersion of males ran up to one kilometer, I have discovered a relatively large number of migrations to a distance of thirty kilometers. Keywords Mus musculus musculus, Mus musculus domesticus, Y chromosome,...

Heterogenní katalýza hraje významnou roli pro zvy¹ování efektivity rùzných procesù. Vysokou katalytickou aktivitu vykazují oxidy ceru patøící k tzv. reducibilním oxidùm, je¾ snadno uvolòují èi (zpìtnì) pøijímají atomy kyslíku prostøednictvím procesù redukce a oxidace. Zámìrem pøedlo¾ené práce je vypoèítat pásové struktury a øezy plochami konstantní energie objemových a povrchových systémù oxidu ceru pomocí kvantovì-mechanické "ab initio"metody Teorie hustotního funkcionálu. Numerické simulace jsou provádìny pomocí programového balíèku Quantum ESPRESSO za u¾ití metod rovinných vln a pseudopotenciálu. Silná korelace elektronù v pøípadì atomù ceru je modelována pøidáním Hubbardova U-èlenu. Hlavní dùraz je kladen na mo¾nost porovnávání teoretických výsledkù s tìmi získanými pomocí experimentální metody úhlovì-rozli¹ené fotoelektronové spektroskopie umo¾òující pøímý zisk jak pásových struktur, tak øezù plochami konstantní energie zkoumaného materiálu. Porovnání pomù¾e jak poznat mo¾nosti a mo¾né hranice zmínìné experimentální metody, tak i roz¹íøit její teoretické zázemí vedoucí k prohloubení znalostí materiálù perspektivních pro katalýzu. Evoluční význam smíšených zpěvů v kontaktní zóně dvou druhů slavíků / Evolutionary importance of mixed singing in two species of nightingales

Kohoutová, Hana January 2017 (has links)
Singing is important for communication in birds. Some species of birds copy singing from other species. This heterospecific copying of singing is common especially in closely related bird species, and is usually called mixed singing in such cases. Mixed singing is often asymmetric, when only one species of the pair copies a song of the congener. The meaning of mixed singing is not well explained yet. The most common mechanism is probably an error during the learning phase of singing, but in some cases mixed singing can be adaptive. In my master's thesis I deal with the evolutionary meaning of mixed singing in two closely related passerine species - Common nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos) and Thrush nightingale (Luscinia luscinia). These species co-occur in secondary contact zone in central and eastern part of Europe. Only Thrush nightingale which is larger and probably a more dominant species, exhibits mixed singing. In playback experiments in Common nightingale I studied a possible adaptive meaning of mixed singing in relation to interspecific communication. I tested the differences in behavioural and vocal response of Common nightingales to three types of stimuli: pure singing of Common nightingale, pure singing of Thrush nightingale and mixed singing of Thrush nightingale. The tested males...

Role deformačního členění na tektonický vývoj rozhraní suprastruktury a infrastruktury v tepelsko-barrandienské oblasti / The role of deformation partitioning on the tectonic evolution of the superstructure-infrastructure transition in the Teplá-Barrandian domain

Peřestý, Vít January 2019 (has links)
Upper part of the orogenic crust (superstructure) significantly differs from the lower part of the crust (infrastructure) by structural and metamorphic record. This fundamental observation is explained by interruption of the mutual evolution due to mechanical decoupling of the hot and ductile infrastructure from the cold and brittle superstructure at certain stages of the orogenic evolution. The superstructure-infrastructure transition zone is a rheologically predisposed domain of sharp deformation and metamorphic gradients with polyphase structural record. Understanding of the deformation partitioning in such a rheologically complex setting is a key aspect in linking of the individual deformation stages between upper and lower crust. The transition zone between unmetamorphosed early-Variscan superstructure (Teplá-Barrandian Domain) and late Variscan high- grade infrastructure (Saxothuringian Domain) crops out at the western margin of the Teplá- Barrandian Domain in the Bohemian Massif. This area is a continuous mid- to lower-crustal section with early-Variscan structural and metamorphic record, which is superposed onto pre-Variscan episode. This thesis aims to decipher individual deformation events, to evaluate their manifes- tations at different crustal levels and to bring new and unifying...

Využití systémového přístupu k analýze geopolitického významu transhraničního politického regionu - příklad Arktidy. / Applicability of Systemic Approach to the Analysis of Geostrategic Importance of a Transborder Region: the Arctic Case

Valková, Irena January 2016 (has links)
The purpose of this dissertation is to demonstrate a new empirical and systemic geopolitical approach to the study of the ongoing territorial dispute in the Arctic resulting from the desire of two nation states, Denmark and Russia, to extend their own northernmost limits of the Exclusive Economic Zone to the central part of the Arctic Ocean. This approach combines geographic, legal and political analytical perspectives with quantitative research design to produce an inter-disciplinary study. Empirical evidence on the long-term socio-geographic development in the region (1993-2013) is provided together with information on particular territorial gains and losses for all decision-makers that arise in a number of potential scenarios (options). Variation in each decision-maker's aggregate national socio-geographic resource, as implied by particular territorial modifications in the central part of the Arctic Ocean, serves as a basis for derivation of nontrivial payoffs on each option in the dispute. These payoffs are introduced into a three-player graph model for conflict resolution (Denmark, Russia, and the World) and stable dispute solutions are suggested on the basis of different combinations of decision-makers' strategies, whose optimality is evaluated as well. Finally, alternative scenarios of...

Hranice ekoturismu a jejich překračování na příkladě komunity v Chambok / The boundaries of ecotourism and their crossing on the community in Chambok

Kořánová, Anna January 2017 (has links)
My thesis focuses on the problems of ecotourism, or more precisely its borders from an anthropological perspective, using example of a typical Cambodian community named Chambok. Based on five months of research, together with ethnographic methods of research I found out that boundaries of ecotourism are complex, multi-layered, problematic and negotiated and also that there are so called "grey zones" encompassing them. It is the conceptualization of these zones and boundaries, which is my contribution to current anthropological debate about ecotourism, which has been largely left out until now.

Management půd velkých investičních akcí na příkladu průmyslové zóny Kolín - Ovčáry / Soil management of large investment projects on the example of the industrial zone Kolín - Ovčáry

Bejblová, Klára January 2010 (has links)
The thesis deal with the soil sealing and the rehanding with the uncovering of soil cultural layers. This problem is describe on the example of the industrial zone Kolín - Ovčáry. In the thesis there is the evaluation of the soil characteristics and their changes in areas where due to the trensfer of the cultural layer was created completely new structure of soil cover compact of soil units with artificial stratigraphy of profile. For this area the new classification subsumtion is suggested. The overall impacat of the soilsealig and implementation of the uncovering of soil cultural layers, despite of local incerase of soil fertility parameters, we evaluate as the degradation of soil cover.
