Two months every summer Öland is coming to life when thousands of tourists are visiting the island. The rest of the year it is half asleep. The season is too short to create a viable society all year round and the service provided is decreasing for the residents. In this project my aim has been to investigate if architecture combined with a relevant program can attract new groups of visitors to the island independent of the season, and strengthen the identity of a small community. / Bryggmästarskola på Norra Öland Två månader om året vaknar Öland till liv när tusentals turister besöker ön. Resten av året ligger ön och halvsover. Säsongen är för kort för att skapa ett levande samhälle året runt och servicen som finns tillgänlig för de boende minskar. I projektet har jag velat undersöka om arkitektur i kombination med ett relevant program kan locka till sig nya grupper av besökare till Öland oberoende av säsong , och stärka identiteten hos en liten ort.
