The thesis aims at the classical singing technique within the context of the postural function and the body posture. The center of attention is the question, how does the position of the body taken while singing influences the technical and sound quality of the professional singing performance, considering the close relationship between the classical singing technique and the physiological process of breathing, as well as the close link between breathing and the posture. This topic is being seen from the kinesiological point of view, as well as from the singing point of view and the acquired knowledge is afterwards being applied on the particular vocal piece.
