This thesis considers groups which act cocompactly on a product of two trees and draws on previous results by various mathematicians including Burger, Mozes, Rattaggi, Robertson and Wise. A characterisation is given of all groups which act regularly on the set of vertices, generalising a result of Robertson & Kimberley. We enumerate such groups acting on products of trees with low degree, and study various subgroups of interest.
