In this study, through a bibliographical search based in the Freuds writings and contemporaries authors, as well as in
the listening of teenagers like a psychologist acting as vocational orienting throughout 15 years of work, was reflected on the adolescents problematic of the necessity of the this taking of decision, setting out a practical listening in vocational orientation that can allow the comprehension of the adolescents objection in this task that and contributes the magnifying of this look, considering this choice as a multi-determined phenomenon, that must in such a way be realized from the citizen, as in relation the socio-cultural moment where it lives. / A escolha de uma profissão na fase da adolescência, quando considerada as especificidades desse ciclo do desenvolvimento, as diversas profissões existentes e ainda as práticas atuais em orientação vocacional, as quais tentam favorecer a eleição de uma dada profissão exige atenção, considerando-se campo fecundo para debates e investigações científicas. Neste estudo, através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica embasada nos escritos de Freud e de autores contemporâneos, assim como na escuta de adolescentes enquanto psicóloga atuando como
orientadora vocacional ao longo de 15 anos de trabalho, refletiu-se sobre a problemática do adolescente diante da necessidade dessa tomada de decisão, propondo-se uma prática de escuta em orientação vocacional que possa permitir a compreensão do impasse do adolescente nesta tarefa e contribua a ampliação desse olhar, considerando essa escolha como um fenômeno multideterminado, que deve ser percebido tanto a partir do sujeito, quanto em relação ao momento sócio-cultural em que ele vive.
