O trabalho apresenta as matrizes de pensamento dos dois autores sumarizadas nos conceitos de confiança básica e imagem inconsciente do corpo, respectivamente. Os construtos conceituais pontam para a importância da maternagem e dos cuidados dispensados à criança na primeira infância para o estabelecimento da personalidade, ressaltando a relevância dos processos sociais-culturais com os quais interagem para darem conformação ao sujeito humano. A revisão de literatura constitui-se a técnica básica do percurso investigativo e o cotejamento entre autores a estratégia prioritária na construção do diálogo proposto. O encontrado através da investigação aponta para convergência teórica entre os conceitos oferecidos pelos autores, na medida em que ambos partem de pressupostos psicanalíticos gerais comuns e percorrem caminhos teóricos centrados na importância da figura materna, do afeto e da qualidade dos cuidados dispensados às crianças, sem os quais o bebê humano fica privado das condições que lhe habilitem à consolidação de um arcabouço psíquico capaz de resistir adequadamente às pressões e demandas emocionais verificadas ao longo da vida, residindo a sua falta numa provável razão do substancial incremento dos índices de transtornos mentais em crianças e adultos, conforme observa-se nos estudos e levantamentos mais recentes, dos quais destacase o Relatório da Organização Mundial de Saúde de 2001 sobre Saúde Mental no Mundo.
To construct a dialogue concerning the thoughts of Erik Erikson and Françoise Dolto about the formation of the human psyche and its relation to mental disturbance and disorders of children is the first intention of this dissertation. The paper presents the thought matrix of both authors summarized in the concepts of basic trust and unconscious image of the body, respectively. The conceptual constructions point to the importance of motherhood and care given to the child in first infancy for the establishment of character, highlighting the relevance of the social-cultural processes with which they interact to give the human subject conformation. The literature revision consists of the basic technique of investigative course and the parallel between authors is the main strategy to construct the proposed dialogue. What was found through the investigation points to theoretical convergence between the concepts offered by the authors, as they both start from common psychoanalytical general presuppositions and go through theoretical ways centered in the importance of the maternal figure, the affection and the quality of the care given to children, without which the human babe gets deprived of the conditions that will allow it the consolidation of a psychic solid base capable of resisting adequately to emotional pressures and demands shown through life, residing its lack in a probable reason of the substantial increase of mental disturbances rate in children and adults, as can be seen in the most recent studies and surveys of which is highlighted the World Health Organization Report of 2001 about mental health in the world.
