The purpose of the paper is to investigate how young adults experience their situation in the labor market and its consequences for everyday life. This is a qualitative study where the interviewees have described their experiences in the labor market, which resulted in a predominantly negative tone. Interviewees point out the problem of the insecure employment forms which affect their lives a lot because they are unable to plan their free time due to unscheduled work and uncomfortable working hours. Furthermore, they describe the labor market as uncertain as concerns about the uncertain future are significant. Hence, how to make the economy go together and create a stable life. They have dreams of the future and with some fear the majority have chosen to study to achieve their goals, however, the interviewees are convinced that their way there will be long and complicated. Interviewees prove to be very disappointed that it is very difficult for them to establish themselves in the labor market, where they have noticed that the response to them is not the same as for the other employees. The result is supported by previous research, which is described in the paper. There sometimes the sociologist Karl Marx describing capitalism in a changed society and the consequences of this. Furthermore, the theory describes unsafe jobs, the high demands of society, the importance of education in order to achieve better chances of establishing, flexible work life and theories of how success is to be achieved. Keywords: Young adults, labor market, working life, insecure job, establishment / Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur unga vuxna upplever sin situation på arbetsmarknaden och dess konsekvenser för vardagslivet. Detta är en kvalitativ studie där intervjupersonerna har beskrivit sina erfarenheter av arbetsmarknaden vilket resulterade i en övervägande negativ ton. Intervjupersonerna påpekar problematiken av de osäkra anställningsformerna vilket påverkar deras liv en hel del där de inte upplever att de har möjlighet att planera sin fritid på grund av ej schemalagt arbete och obekväma arbetstider.Vidare beskriver de arbetsmarknaden som osäker där oron för den ovissa framtiden är påtaglig. Därav hur de ska få ekonomin att gå ihop och skapa sig ett stabilt liv. De berättar att de har drömmar om framtiden och med viss rädsla har flertalet valt att studera för att uppnå sina mål, dock är intervjupersonerna övertygade om att vägen dit kommer vara lång och komplicerad. Intervjupersonerna visar sig vara påtagligt besvikna överde svårigheter de upplever med att etablera sig på arbetsmarknaden där de har märkt av att bemötandet gentemot dem inte är detsamma som för de övriga anställda. Resultatet tar stöd i tidigare forskning som redogörs i uppsatsen. Där ibland sociologen Karl Marx som beskriver kapitalismen i ett förändrat samhälle och konsekvenserna av detta. Vidare i teorin redogörs det om osäkra jobb, samhällets höga krav, vikten av utbildning för att erhålla bättre chanser för att etablera sig, det flexibla arbetslivet och teorier angående hur framgångska uppnås.
