Previous issue date: 2016-12-20 / A capacidade para o trabalho compreende o bem-estar no desempenho das atividades laborais e est? relacionado ?s demandas f?sicas, emocionais e mentais decorrentes do trabalho. Os enfermeiros, no desempenho de atividades no ?mbito hospitalar, est?o expostos ao comprometimento de sua capacidade laboral em virtude da complexidade e volume de atividades desenvolvidas em um ambiente insalubre tanto no sentido material como subjetivo. Neste sentido, este estudo coloca-se na tem?tica de sa?de do trabalhador, em particular na sa?de da equipe de enfermagem da rede hospitalar e tem como objetivo avaliar a Capacidade para o Trabalho dos enfermeiros de um hospital universit?rio. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, transversal com abordagem quantitativa, envolvendo 135 enfermeiros do Hospital Universit?rio Onofre Lopes, realizado mediante parecer favor?vel do Comit? de ?tica em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte sob o n?mero 1.845.951/16, atendendo ao que rege a Resolu??o n? 466/2012 do Conselho Nacional de Sa?de que regulamenta pesquisa com seres humanos. A coleta de dados ocorreu no m?s de novembro de 2016, utilizando-se como instrumento de coleta de dados um question?rio contendo duas etapas, uma com dados gerais do entrevistado e outra na vers?o brasileira do ?ndice de capacidade para o trabalho elaborado pelo Instituto de Sa?de Ocupacional da Finl?ndia, traduzido e adaptado por pesquisadores da Faculdade de Sa?de P?blica da Universidade de S?o Carlos. O banco de dados foi constru?do em formato EXCEL, vers?o 2010, para realiza??o das tabelas descritivas. E, para aplica??es de testes estat?sticos (Teste de Alpha Cronbach?s e teste quiquadradro) utilizou-se o software Statistica SPSS, vers?o 20.0. Dentre os achados observou-se que entre a popula??o de enfermeiros que participaram da pesquisa predominou adultos com at? 40 anos de idade (88,15%), do sexo feminino (81,48%), casado (47,41%), com p?s-gradua??o (93,33%). Foi encontrado um escore m?dio do ICT de 40,24 pontos. A maioria dos enfermeiros dessa pesquisa obtiveram um ICT adequado (81,48%), com classifica??o boa ou ?tima e apenas 18,52% obtiveram um ICT inadequado (baixo ou moderado). Apenas uma vari?vel independente apresentou evid?ncia de diferen?a estat?stica que foi a satisfa??o com o sal?rio, outras caracter?sticas mostram-se tendenciosas como idade, forma??o e tempo de v?nculo. Por ter atingindo com ?xito os objetivos propostos pelo estudo, acredita-se que o mesmo possa ter contribu?do com o aprofundamento das discuss?es sobre o ?ndice de Capacidade para o Trabalho, ?s quest?es relacionadas ? sa?de do trabalhador e por fim, do aprimoramento da utiliza??o do instrumento no Brasil. / The capacity for work includes the welfare on the development of work activities and it is related to the physical, emotional and mental demands that results from work. The nurses, regarding the development of activities inside the hospital, are exposed to the impairment of their work capacity due to the complexity and volume of developed operations inside an unhealthy environment not only on a material sense but also subjective. Therefore, this study is about the theme: worker?s health, focusing on the nursing team?s health and has as purpose to evaluate the nurse?s work capacity of an academic hospital. It is about a descriptive, transversal study with a quantitative approach, involving 135 nurses of the academic hospital, Onofre Lopes, accomplished upon assent from the Committee of Ethics in Research of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte under number 1.845.951/16, covering what is written on the Resolution n? 466/2012 from the National Health Council that regulates research on human beings. The data gathering occurred on the month of November of 2016, using a survey with two stages as instrument to gather the data, one with general data of the interviewed and another on a Brazilian version of the work capacity?s index made by the Institute of Occupational Health of Finland, translated and adapted by researchers from the Faculty of Public Health from S?o Carlos University. The database was constructed using Excel, version 2010, to the descriptive chart?s fulfilment. And, for the applications of statistical tests (Alpha Cronbach?s and Chi-Square test), the software Statistica was used SPSS, version 20.0. Among the findings it was observed that between the population of nurses that were part of the research, adults with up to 40 years (88.15%), female (81.48%), married (47.41%), with post-graduation (93.33%) were predominant. An ICT?s average score of 40.24 was found. Most of the research?s nurses had got an adequate ICT (81.48%), with a grade of good or great and on 18.52% had got and inadequate ICT (low or moderate). Only one independent variable showed evidence of statistical difference that was the satisfaction with the salary, other characteristics turn up to be biased such as age, formation and bond time. For having successfully achieved the study?s proposed objectives, one believes that it may have contributed to the deepening of discussions about the Work Capacity?s Index, to the related questions about the worker?s health and to finish, the improvement of the instruments? usage in Brazil.
