Para tanto, delimitou-se como objeto de investigação o estudo do ensino da Arte na formação dos acadêmicos e egressos, tendo como base empírica os Cursos de Pedagogia do Instituto Tocantinense de Educação Superior e Pesquisa Ltda. (ITOP/Palmas) e da Universidade Federal do Tocantins, Campus de Miracema. A investigação foi fundamentada nos estudos e análises de fontes bibliográficas, de documentos institucionais, da legislação e dos dados da pesquisa empírica, e objetivou aprofundar, teórica e empiricamente, sobre o problema da pesquisa que pretendeu analisar qual perspectiva formativa está presente no currículo dos Cursos de Pedagogia e se ela prioriza a formação humanizadora do professor pedagogo. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é o de compreender a Arte como conhecimento e a sua importância na formação do pedagogo que atua na Educação Infantil e anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. No decorrer da investigação, ao adotar o método do materialismo histórico-dialético, em uma análise teórico-prática, combinou-se as abordagens sociopolítica e educacional, em nível nacional, com a análise dos aspectos específicos desses dois Cursos, no que concerne ao ensino da Arte na formação do pedagogo. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This thesis, developed in the line of research of Artistic Processes, Educational Experiences and Cultural Mediation, has as theme the Art as knowledge in the formation of the Pedagogue. To this end, it was delimited as an object of investigation the study of the Teaching of Art in the formation of academics and undergraduates, having as empirical basis the Pedagogy Courses of the Instituto Tocantinense de Educação Superior e Pesquisa Ltda. (ITOP/Palmas) and the Universidade Federal do Tocantins, Miracema Campus. The research was based on studies and analyses of bibliographic sources, institutional documents, legislation and data from empirical research, and aimed to deepen, theoretically and empirically, about the research problem that intends to analyze which formative perspective is present in the curriculum of pedagogy courses and whether it prioritizes the humanizing training of the pedagogue teacher. The main objective of this research is to understand Art as knowledge and its importance in the education of the pedagogue who works in Primary and Secundary Education. In the course of the investigation, by adopting the method of historical-dialectical materialism, in a theoretical-practical analysis, the socio-political and educational approaches were combined at the national level, with the analysis of the specific aspects of these two courses, in which concerns the teaching of Art in the formation of the Pedagogue.
