Previous issue date: 2016-12-12 / In this study, we sought to investigate the woman’s work double journey – paid and
domestic - and the implications of this, in many ways, in the life of the Basic
Education teachers, from a gender perspective. To achieve the intended objectives in
this study, there was a bibliographic research, in which it was obtained the
contribution of several authors on: the inclusion of women in the labor market,
women's emancipation, women in the teaching profession, gender inequalities in
labor relations, among others. In addition, a field survey was conducted, approved by
the Ethics Committee of the Catholic University of Goiás (CEP PUC Goiás), whose
subjects were teachers of two Early Childhood Municipal Centers (CMEIs) in the city
of Goiania. In this research, questionnaires were used as data collection technique,
and the results were based on the literature survey. In this research, documents were
also analyzed related to Early Childhood Education in Brazil, as well as the Political-
Pedagogical Propose/2016 in CMEIs, where field research was accomplished. This
research was developed with qualitative and quantitative approaches, in order to
better explain the results. In analyzing the data, the long work journey developed by
the teachers surveyed, involving the two workspaces, in which they act in their daily
lives. The implications of this double journey were also evident on physical and
emotional health of the majority of the surveyed teachers. Before this reality, we
sought to reflect on prospects that can change this situation experienced not only by
the teachers of Early Childhood Education, but also by the majority of women
workers in various professions. / Neste estudo, buscou-se investigar a dupla jornada de trabalho feminino −
remunerado e doméstico − e as implicações desta, em vários aspectos, na vida de
professoras de Educação Infantil, sob a perspectiva de gênero. Para se alcançar os
objetivos pretendidos neste estudo, realizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica, na qual se
obteve a contribuição de vários autores sobre: a inserção das mulheres no mercado
trabalhista, a emancipação feminina, as mulheres na profissão docente, a
desigualdade de gênero nas relações de trabalho, entre outros. Além disso, foi
realizada uma pesquisa de campo, antecipadamente aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética
da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás (CEP PUC Goiás), tendo como sujeitos
professoras de dois Centros Municipais de Educação Infantil (CMEIs), na cidade de
Goiânia. Nesta pesquisa, utilizaram-se questionários como técnica de coleta de
dados cujos resultados foram fundamentados na pesquisa bibliográfica realizada.
Nesta pesquisa, analisaram-se também documentos relacionados à Educação
Infantil no Brasil, bem como a Proposta Político-Pedagógica/2016 dos próprios
CMEIs, onde se realizou a pesquisa de campo. Esta se desenvolveu com as
abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa, como forma de explicitar melhor os seus
resultados. Na análise dos dados obtidos, notou-se a extensa jornada de trabalho
desenvolvida pelas professoras pesquisadas, envolvendo os dois espaços de
trabalho, nos quais elas atuam no seu cotidiano. Ficaram evidentes, também, as
implicações dessa dupla jornada sobre a saúde física e emocional da maioria das
professoras pesquisadas. Diante dessa realidade, buscou-se refletir sobre
perspectivas que possam alterar essa situação vivida não só pelas professoras de
Educação Infantil, mas pela maioria das mulheres trabalhadoras nas mais variadas
profissões.
