Previous issue date: 2005 / Introdução: A Lista de Identificação de Papéis Ocupacionais “Role Checklist” é
um instrumento utilizado originalmente na língua inglesa para obter a percepção
do indivíduo em sua participação nos principais papéis ocupacionais ao longo da
vida (Parte I), bem como o grau de importância que atribui a cada um destes
papéis (Parte II).
Objetivos: Traduzir e adaptar culturalmente este instrumento para a língua
portuguesa utilizada no Brasil e verificar a sua reprodutibilidade em uma amostra
de pacientes com doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (DPOC).
Material e Método: A tradução e a adaptação cultural seguiram método
anteriormente utilizado em questionários para DPOC. A versão brasileira foi
aplicada duas vezes, num intervalo de 15 dias, em 25 pacientes (9 mulheres)
clinicamente estáveis. O percentual de concordância, bem como o coeficiente de
Kappa, foram utilizados para verificar a reprodutibilidade.
Resultados: Os valores de Kappa sugeriram coeficientes de concordância
moderada (0,41-0,60) à substancial (0,61-0,80) para a maior parte dos papéis nas
Partes I e II do instrumento, sendo que o papel “Amigo” apresentou os menores
escores de concordância. Não houve diferença estatisticamente significante na
reprodutibilidade dos subgrupos das variáveis sexo, idade, ocupação, estado civil,
escolaridade, estádio da doença, grau de depressão, grau de auxílio requerido no
preenchimento do instrumento e dúvidas apresentadas pelos pacientes.
Conclusão: A versão brasileira é um instrumento válido e reprodutível para
DPOC e, provavelmente, para a população em geral neste país. / Introduction: The Role Checklist is an instrument originally used in English
language to identify individual’s perception of their participation in the major
occupational roles along life span (Part I) and the degree t which each role is
valued (Part II).
Objectives: To translate, culturally adapt the instrument to Brazilian Portuguese
language and verify its reproducibility in a sample of chronic obstructive disease
patients (CPOD).
Subjects and Method: Translation and cultural adaptation followed method
previously used in questionnaires for CPOD. The Brazilian Portuguese version
was test-retested in a two-week interval, in 25 clinically stable patients (9 women).
Percent agreement and Kappa were used to check its reproducibility.
Results: Values obtained for Kappa suggested moderate (0,41-0,60) to
substantial (0,61-0,80) agreement to the majority of roles in Parts I and II of the
Checklist and the role “Friend” presented the lowest score of agreement. No
statistically significant differences were found in the reproducibility of the sample’s
subgroups in the variables gender, age, occupation, marital status, level of
education, disease’ stage, level of depression, required assistance to answer the
instrument and doubts presented by the patients.
Conclusion: The Brazilian Portuguese version was found content valid and
reliable for COPD patients and probably for the Brazilian population in general. / BV UNIFESP: Teses e dissertações
