El estudio de las crisis de los últimos decenios revela la relación entre Cambio Climático (CC) y desastres. En efecto, la magnitud y frecuencia de muchas amenazas varían a causa del CC, que también afecta negativamente a la capacidad de afrontamiento ante las crisis.
Por ello, la conjunción entre las medidas para la Adaptación al Cambio Climático (ACC) y la Reducción del Riesgo de Desastres (RRD) es fundamental. Es muy previsible que estas sinergias den como resultados la reducción de pérdidas, un uso más eficiente de recursos y el incremento de la eficacia y sostenibilidad de ambas disciplinas.
Lo expuesto en los puntos anteriores ha llevado a definir como objetivo general de la investigación profundizar en el estudio de la RRD y la ACC y su convergencia en el ámbito local, con el fin de reducir las carencias y avanzar en el desarrollo de herramientas que permitan mejorar las intervenciones. / The study of the crisis of recent decades reveals the relationship between Climate Change (CC) and disasters. Indeed, the magnitude and frequency of many hazards vary because of the CC, which also negatively affects the ability of coping with the crisis.
Therefore, the conjunction between the measures for Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is fundamental. It is very likely that these synergies give as results loss reduction, more efficient use of resources and increasing the efficiency and sustainability of both disciplines.
Taking into account the above considerations, the general objective of the research is to deep in the study of DRR and CCA and its convergence at the local level, in order to reduce the gaps and to advance in the development of tools to improve the interventions.
