Previous issue date: 2000 / Resumo: Revelar a dinâmica cultural que possibilitou a estruturação do sistema escolar rurai de Londrina (PR), com as características que apresenta na atualidade, é o objetivo mais preciso do trabalho. Para tanto, optou-se pelo uso de fontes orais e documentos de época. O período entre 1950 e 1970 constitui o tempo do auge e dedínio da cafeicultura, quando o sistema escolar adquire características nacionais/ brasileiras. Mas, das lembranças emerge um passado rural, plural e diverso, escamotesdo por trás de uma história educacional pretensamente homogênea e harmònica.
No contexto atual, o regime de propriedade rural, onde estão as escolas, evidencia as diferenças sócio-culturais, geralmente transformadas em desigualdades. A diversidade está dentro das escolas e entre as mesmas; passa peia posiçâo de classe, atravessa a condição étnica, sexual, religiosa, familiar, etária e de soeiabilidade. No passado, a presença de imigrantes de origem europëia (alemães, eslavos, poloneses, etc.), japoneses e migrantes nacionais (mineiros e paulistas), compôs um quadro social e escolar piuricultural. Após o advento das políticas nacionalistas, a diversidade originária foi diluida. Preservou-se, no entanto, o etnocentrismo branco e europeu que ainda marca o sistema escolar. Índios, negros e cabodos que sxisúam antes dos anos 30, quando se deu a ocupaç5o capitalista do território londrinense, estiveram exduídos dessa escola e com isto foram usurpados também do direito à memória e à história / Abstract: To reveal the cultural dynamics that allowed the structuralization of the rural school system of Londrina - Parana, with its present characteristics, is the most precise objective of this research. In order to do so, option was made to use oral interviews as well as the period documentation. The period between the decades of 1950¿s to 70¿s is known as the period of the rise and fall of the coffee plantation, when
the school system acquires a brazilian/nationalist trait. However, the analysis of these memories reveals a diverse and pluralist rural history hidden behing a suppasedly homogenoeous and harmonious educational history.ln the present time, the regimen of the rural property, where the schools are iocated, shows the axiocultural differences normally manifested by economical inequalities. This diversity is present inside and also, among the schools: crosses the status level and passes through ethnic group, gender, religious, familiar, age-group and sociability. In the past, the presence of european immigrants (german, slaves, polish
etc.), japanese and natonal migrants (mineiros and paulistas) composed a multicultural social and schooiing situation. This diversity was diluted after the advent of nationalist politics. There was however, the preservation of the white european ethnocentrism that still distinguishes the school system. The nativelnationals (indians, blacks and cabodos) that existed before the 30¿s, when the capitalist territorial occupation of Londrina took place, were exduded of the school and consequently they were denied the right to a memory and history / Doutorado / Ciencias Sociais Aplicadas à Educação / Doutor em Educação
