of its several faces was made, among them its fixation in the relations between parties, the role
of the State as institution capable of promoting a convergence of the power for itself, Power has
also been analyzed as analogous to the idea of value in a society based on relations of
exchange. The general objective is to confirm or not the possibility of measuring power. The
specific goal is to define the size of the power on any of its faces. In the present approach the
method used will be the deductive, since it starts from a generic sphere to a specific one, that is,
from the interpretation of a general rule so that the specific cases can be understood. As for the
justification of the present work, it is due to the academic trajectory of the author that allowed
him to perceive that there is no hierarchy between powers, that is, he is stable, constant, and
that there are no "holders" of power either, Author to better understand this fact. In this line
some hypotheses have arisen that power may have a size, but it is smaller than one might
imagine, that is, power has a size that limits the survival of relations, and then What is done is
precisely to inflate this perception about what the real size of power would be in order to make
it believe that it really is large, that there are some with great power and others with little
power, another hypothesis is that the measurement of power Must be made from the
establishment of the material limits of power, that is, established such limits the power can be
measured. From the methodological point of view, it was based on proven historical facts for
the construction of a reasoning that allows to analyze the power in all their faces in the most
varied relations, for that reason a way based on the deduction, but we tried to walk with
freedom, Especially from the vantage point of a linearity of thought, that is, with a certain
amount of discontinuity of the facts. The result was that communication that is central to the
social relational process is an important element capable of altering perception about the size /
measure of power and this contributes to two facts, first to deny the fragility of power and
second to maintain society Far from sedition / No presente trabalho faz-se uma abordagem sobre o poder e para tanto foi feita uma análise de
algumas de suas várias faces dentre elas a sua fixação nas relações entre partes, o papel do
Estado como instituição capaz de promover uma convergência do poder para si, também se
analisou o poder como análogo a ideia de valor em uma sociedade fundada nas relações de
troca. O objetivo geral é confirmar ou não a possibilidade de se mensurar o poder. Como
objetivo específico é definir qual o tamanho do poder em qualquer de suas faces. Na presente
abordagem o método usado será o dedutivo, pois parte-se de uma esfera genérica para uma
específica, ou seja, da interpretação de uma regra geral para que se possa entender os casos
específicos. Quanto à justificativa do presente trabalho se deve a trajetória acadêmica do autor
que lhe permitiu perceber que não existe hierarquia entre poderes, ou seja ele é estável,
constante, e que também não existem “os detentores” do poder, e por isso o interesse do autor
em entender melhor esse fato. Nesta linha algumas hipóteses que se levantou é a de que talvez
o poder possua sim um tamanho, mas ocorre que ele é menor do que se possa imaginar, ou seja,
o poder possui um tamanho que se limita a sobrevivência das relações, e então o que se faz é
justamente inflar essa percepção sobre qual seria o tamanho real do poder com vistas a fazer
crer que ele de fato seja grande, que exista uns com grande poder e outros com pouco poder,
outra hipótese é a de que a mensuração do poder deve ser feita a partir do estabelecimento dos
limites materiais do poder, ou seja, estabelecidos tais limites o poder poderá ser medido. Do
ponto de vista metodológico partiu-se de fatos históricos comprovados para a construção de um
raciocínio que permita analisar o poder em todas as suas faces nas mais variadas relações, por
isso um caminho fundado na dedução, porém procurou-se um caminhar com liberdade,
sobretudo do ponto de vista de fuga de uma linearidade de pensamento, ou seja, com certa dose
de descontinuidade dos fatos. O resultado encontrado foi o de que a comunicação que é
elemento central no processo relacional social é importante elemento capaz de alterar a
percepção acerca do tamanho/medida do poder e isto contribui para dois fatos, primeiro negar a
fragilidade do poder e segundo manter a sociedade longe da sedição
