Older people with age-related disabilities and illnesses do not have as easy a time adapting to the new technology. The average life expectancy in Sweden is set to increase in the future, which makes it essential to adapt digital care services to the individual needs of the elderly so that they can continue to participate in their health. Aim: The aim was to map out older people's perceptions of digital care services. Method: A general literature review based on the results of eleven scientific articles with qualitative, quantitative, interviews and mixed methods. Results: Five central themes were identified in the results: accessibility, digital competence, and user experience, need for support, mistrust and doubt and the importance of interpersonal relationships. The results of the thesis showed that the availability of digital care services was important for the elderly. The user experience of digital care services was influenced by the digital competence level of the elderly and the need for support from family and caregivers proved to be helpful. The results also showed that not all elderly people trusted digital care services and that interpersonal relationships form an important part of health care. Conclusion: Older people's perceptions of digital care services were linked to their level of digital competence. Convenience and accessibility were major advantages experienced by the elderly with digital care services.
