A partir de uma relação dialógica que envolveu o encontro, a presença, o relacionamento e chamados e respostas, objetivou-se prestar um cuidado de enfermagem, cujo foco central foi o amor. A metodologia utilizada foi baseada no modelo humanístico de Paterson e Zderad, valorizando tanto o conhecimento objetivo quanto o subjetivo, e compreendeu três fases: o diálogo intuitivo, o diálogo científico e a fusão intuitivo-científica. Como apoio científico nas fases 2 e 3 da referida metodologia, utilizou-se o processo classificatório de Kaplan e Mason, que descreve as crises experienciadas pelas mães quando do nascimento prematuro. O modelo utilizado permitiu conhecer e refletir com as mães, o processo vivenciado quando do nascimento prematuro, sendo que a partir de um cuidado amoroso, a relação EU-TU foi valorizada. A complementaridade de olhares, integrando o intuitivo com o científico e a sensibilidade com a lógica, poderá contribuir para um repensar a supremacia da humanidade na Enfermagem, possibilitando restaurar e fortalecer os vínculos mães/recém-nascidos pré-termo, prejudicados quando do nascimento prematuro.
Abstract : In this work, the author?s experience as a nurse next to mothers and their pre-term newborn at the Neonate Intensive Admission Unit of a teaching hospital in Florianópolis-SC is narrated. Starting from a dialogue involving meetings, presence, relationships, calls and answers, the author has offered nursing care of which the main focus was love. The employed methodology was based on Paterson and Zderad's humanistic model, valuing both objective and subjective knowledge, and encompassing 3 stages: intuitive dialogue, scientific dialogue, and intuitive-scientific conjugation. As scientific support to the second and third stages of this methodology, the classification process of Kaplan and Mason was employed, describing crises lived by mothers at the time of a premature birth. The implemented proposal allowed to know and think out, in conjunction with the mothers, this process lived throughout premature birth where, through a loving care, great value was given to the I-You relation. The complementary view, integrating that which is intuitive and scientific, and sensitivity with reason, brings a contribution to the renewed thinking on neonate nursing assistance, to restore and strengthen the mother/newborn tles, the same ones which had been too soon interrupted by the premature birth.
