On adjoint equations

This thesis is concerned with a very broad aspect of adjoint equations. It is not my intention to treat the solution of adjoint equations but rather to state and prove some of the more interesting theorems.
Because of the necessity of so many concepts and definitions,Chapter I is devoted entirely to definitions and basic related concepts. In Chapter II I have attempted to provide most of the fundamental concepts and theorems on inverse operations, as they are needed to treat adjoint equations. Chapter III contains the main body of this thesis, theorems on adjoint equations.
