Previous issue date: 1999 / Resumo: Este trabalho relata o processo de implantação do projeto educacional e extencionista latino-americano, como um projeto educativo para a zona rural, associado ao avanço das relações capitalistas de produção no campo. A pesquisa inicia resgatando os antecedentes históricos do campesinato e ensino agrícola no Brasil. Estabelece a contextualização do Oeste Catarinense e relata o processo de implantação de uma Escola Agrícola Profissionalizante, com significativas influências no desenvolvimento agropecuário na região onde está situada. Através dos depoimentos, analisa informações sobre a vida no interior de um Colégio Agrícola, possibilitando uma reflexão sobre os encaminhamentos teóricos e práticos fundamentados na tríade educação-trabalho-produção. Além de recuperar dados históricos sobre esta modalidade de ensino profissionalizante, este trabalho destaca o funcionamento interno do colégio através de seus setores dídático-produtivos, possibilitando a constatação da necessidade de se repensar a formação profissional do Técnico em Agropecuária / Abstract: This research tells the process that introduces the Latin-American extensive and educational project as one for the country side, associated to the progress of the capitalist relationships of production in the field. The research begins rescuing the historical antecedents of the country life and agricultural teaching in Brasil. It facilitates to understand the establishment of the families in the west side of Santa Catarina and the introducing of a Professional Agricultural High School, with great inflences in the agricultural development in the area where it is placed. Through depositions, in analyzes information about the country life of an Agricultural School, facilitating a reflection on the fundamental theoretical and practial approaches in the triad education-work-production. Besides recovering historical data about this kind of professional learning, this research highlights the internal operation of the high school through its didatic-productive sections, allowing the verification of the need of rethinking the Technicin's professional formation in agriculture / Mestrado / Metodologia de Ensino / Mestre em Educação
