Previous issue date: 2007-03-09 / Este trabalho dedica-se à análise de textos literários produzidos por mulheres brasileiras na passagem do século XIX ao XX. A partir da leitura e seleção de superfícies discursivas de dois romances de escritoras cearenses ( “A Divorciada”, de Francisca Clotilde; “A Rainha do Ignoto”, de Emília Freitas) e da revista literária “A Estrella”, levantei matrizes de inteligibilidade expressivas no que diz respeito às representações sociais e auto-representações das mulheres, ou seja, referentes à construção da subjetividade feminina. Por meio de dessas matrizes foi possível entrever as estratégias discursivas de manutenção da hierarquização das relações entre os gêneros, assim como as táticas de resistência utilizadas pelas escritoras para questionar o patriarcado na sociedade brasileira do período em questão. A multiplicidade de valores, sentidos, representações e experiências indicam a implosão de um sujeito feminino centralizado, coerente e estático, apresentando identidades fragmentadas, contraditórias, dinâmicas e processuais. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work provides an analysis of literary texts written by brazilian women in the passage from the nineteenth century to the twentieth century. From the reading and selection of discursive surfaces of two novels written by female writers from Ceará (“A Divorciada, by Francisca Clotilde; “A Rainha do Ignoto”, by Emília Freitas) and of the literary magazine “A Estrella”, I have collected matrixes of intelligibility, which were expressive in relation to the social representations and self-representations of women, which means, in the relation to the construction of female subjectivity. Through these matrixes it was possible to have a view of the discursive strategies used to keep up the hierarchy in the gender relations, as well as the strategies of resistance deployed by these writers to question the patriarchy in the brazilian society of the lifetime. The multitude of values, senses, representations and experiences indicates the explosion of the centralized, coherent and static female subject, providing instead break up, contradictory, dynamic identities.
