Previous issue date: 2015-08-31 / O presente estudo tem o propósito de analisar o trabalho desenvolvido pelo Serviço Social da Aeronáutica na Região Amazônica. Justifica-se pelo interesse de melhor compreendermos a atuação do Assistente Social no campo militar, uma vez que as Forças Armadas, enquanto instituições nacionais organizadas para a defesa da nação, tem se revelado espaços numericamente crescentes de inserção desse profissional. O estudo do tipo exploratório contou com uma pesquisa descritiva de abordagem qualitativa. Como instrumento de coleta de dados foi adotado o questionário com perguntas abertas e fechadas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram 16 (dezesseis) Assistentes Sociais da Força Aérea Brasileira que atuam na área sob a jurisdição do I Comando Aéreo Regional em Belém/PA e do VII Comando Aéreo Regional em Manaus/AM, buscando compreender os desafios e limites do assistente social na realização de seu trabalho e identificar se há especificidades da sua atuação nesta região. Confirmou-se a hipótese de que o Assistente Social enfrenta desafios em razão de sua vinculação hierárquica, enquanto Tenente (Oficial Subalterno na cadeia de comando), que se revelam empecilhos à materialização do Projeto Ético-Político Profissional do Serviço Social, e verificou-se também como aspecto limitador o caráter temporário de trabalho das pesquisadas - realidade que se modificou somente com a primeira turma no ano de 2015 do Quadro de Oficiais de Apoio (cuja carreira prevê a ascensão até o posto de Coronel) para Assistentes Sociais da Aeronáutica. Foi possível, por meio da análise dos dados, identificarmos demandas sociais específicas da Região Amazônica, embora tenham se manifestado no estudo de uma forma latente, pois não há uma reflexão construída sobre esta realidade. Conclui-se que nesse espaço sócio ocupacional o assistente social tem sido chamado a intervir nas questões relacionadas às demandas que vão além daquelas alcançadas pela legislação militar, que abrangem as famílias, dependentes de militares e servidores civis. São possibilidades construídas pela mediação do trabalho do assistente social na Aeronáutica, necessitando de metodologias que sejam capazes de decifrar a complexidade da questão social e de construir viabilidades em um cotidiano contraditório. / This study aims to analyze the work of the Air Force Social Service in the Amazon region. It is justified by the interest of better understanding the role of the caseworker in the military field, since the armed forces, as national institutions organized for the nation's defense, has revealed numerically growing spaces insertion of a trader. The exploratory study had a descriptive qualitative approach. As data collection instrument was adopted the questionnaire with open and closed questions. The research subjects were 16 (sixteen) Social Workers of Brazilian Air Force working in the area under the jurisdiction of the First Regional Air Command in Belém/PA, and the Seventh Regional Air Command in Manaus/AM, trying to understand the challenges and limitations of the wizard social in carrying out their work, and identify if there are specifics of its activities in this region. The hypothesis that the case-worker was confirmed faces challenges due to its hierarchical linking, while Lieutenant (inferior officer in the chain of command), which prove to be obstacles to the realization of the Ethical- Political Professional Project of Social Work, and it was found also as an aspect limiting the temporary work of the surveyed - reality that has changed only with the first class in 2015 of the Framework Support Officers (whose career includes the ascent to the rank of Colonel) to the Aeronautics Social Workers. It was possible, through the analysis of data, identify specific social demands of the Amazon region, although manifested in the study of a latent form, because there is no built reflection on this reality. We conclude that this occupational social space a social worker has been asked to intervene in issues related to the demands that go beyond those achieved by military law, covering families, military dependents and civil servants. Possibilities are built by the mediation work of the social worker in the Air Force, requiring methodologies that are able to decipher the complexity of social issues and to build viability in a contradictory quotidian.
