Previous issue date: 2008-12-01 / This work presents the results of a qualitative case study carried out in the Pedagogy Faculty
of the University of Rio Verde/FESURV. Registered in the Line of Inquiry Teaching
Formation and Professionalization, of the Program of Postgraduation in Education, of the
Education Faculty /UFG, the study aimed to know and to analyse the way the work in group
is developed by the teachers, besides checking the existence of signs of which the work in
group carried out in the Course of Pedagogy contributes to the formation of collaborating
people. The adopted proceedings included analysis of the teaching plans; application of
questionnaires for pupils and teachers of the course; and the realization of two focal groups:
one, with teachers; other, with pupils. The theoretical referential system is based on the
concepts of mediation and interaction of Vygotsky; it contemplates authors who discuss
strategies of application of the work in group; it presents the conception of the collaborative
approach. The considered results show that, in spite of a constant practice in the classes,
teachers and pupils still find many difficulties in the driving and execution of group activities.
The investigation also showed that, in spite of the activities being carried out from a technical
dimension, there is a favorable environment so that a culture of collaborative learning is
created, strategy that favors the participation, the communication and the interaction among
the participants, making possible bigger learning / Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de um estudo de caso qualitativo realizado na Faculdade
de Pedagogia da Universidade de Rio Verde/FESURV. Inscrito na Linha de Pesquisa
Formação e Profissionalização Docente, do Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação, da
Faculdade de Educação/UFG, o estudo objetivou conhecer e analisar a forma como o trabalho
em grupo é desenvolvido pelos professores, além de verificar a existência de indícios de que o
trabalho em grupo realizado no Curso de Pedagogia contribui para a formação de pessoas
colaborativas. Os procedimentos adotados incluíram análise de planos de ensino; aplicação de
questionários para alunos e professores do curso; e a realização de dois grupos focais: um,
com professores; outro, com alunos. O referencial teórico fundamenta-se nos conceitos de
mediação e interação de Vigotski; contempla autores que discutem estratégias de aplicação do
trabalho em grupo; apresenta a concepção de abordagem colaborativa. Os resultados
encontrados mostram que, apesar de se constituir uma prática constante nas aulas, professores
e alunos ainda encontram muitas dificuldades na condução e execução de atividades grupais.
A investigação mostrou também que, apesar das atividades serem realizadas a partir de uma
dimensão técnica, existe um ambiente favorável para que seja criada uma cultura de
aprendizagem colaborativa, estratégia que favorece a participação, a comunicação e a
interação entre os participantes, possibilitando maior aprendizado
