Jämlik hälsa ur ett lärarperspektiv med fokus på nyanlända elever : Om lärares möjligheter att i undervisningen i idrott och hälsa bidra till jämlik hälsa

This thesis purpose is to examine seven high school teachers perception in their ability to, in the field of physical education and health, to conduce a more equal health for their students and their perception to identify differences in health, particularly with focus on newcomers to Sweden. This study used qualitative interviews for data collection where seven teachers were interviewed. The theory material that was used as method was KASAM. The result of the survey concluded that some teachers had some difficulties in identifying what a disparity in health means between students, however all teachers were conscious of that a disparity in health exists, especially when the focus is on newcomers. All teachers had ideas about how one could work to prevent unequal health between students.
