<p>Denna kvalitativa studies syfte är att ta reda på vad pedagoger i förskolan har för intentioner med regelbunden högläsning. Vi har undersökt hur förskollärarnas och barnens samspel tar sig uttryck vid denna företeelse, samt vilka faktorer som har betydelse då pedagogerna väljer litteratur till högläsningsstunden efter lunch i förskolan. I studien har två förskollärare observerats i samband med högläsningsstunden under vardera tre tillfällen. Därefter har de intervjuats om sina intentioner med denna företeelse. I vårt resultat har vi kommit fram till att avsikten med högläsningen i förskolan är främst vila och stimulering av barnens språkutveckling. Vi har sett att barngruppens storlek har betydelse för hur högläsningsstunden gestaltas. I vår diskussion har vi kommit fram till att högläsningsstunden i förskolan är en komplex företeelse där omsorg och lärande samspelar med varandra utifrån barngruppens storlek och pedagogernas syfte.</p> / <p>The purpose of this qualitative study is to find out teachers in preschool intentions with regular reading aloud. We have examined the interaktion between the preschool teachers and the children in this occurence and the circumstances that have a meaning when preschool teachers choose literature when they are reading aloud to children after lunch in preschool. In this study two preschool teachers have been observed under three opportunities when they were reading aloud to children. After that the preschool teachers have been interviewed about their intentions with this phenomenon. Our results show that the purpose with reading aloud in preschool is foremost for the children to get rest and a stimulation of their language development. We have found that the number of children in the groups has a meaning how the reading aloud turns out. In our discussion we show that the reading aloud in preschool is a complex phenomenon where care and learning interacts with each other, dependent on the number of children in the group and the preschool teachers intentions.</p>
