Malawi is a state party to a number of international human rights instruments that guarantee the rights of children with disabilities (CWDs), which include the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD); the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC); and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC).
