Många personer som behöver palliativ vård har en önskan att få avsluta sitt liv i det egna hemmet och då är det en förutsättning att sjuksköterskan även kan tillgodose anhörigas behov, då dessa har en nyckelroll vid palliativ vård i hemmet. Syftet med litteraturstudien är att ta reda på och beskriva anhörigas upplevelser av palliativ vård i hemmet. Litteraturstudien besvarar frågeställningarna: Hur upplever anhöriga det stöd de får av sjuksköterskan i samband med palliativ vård i hemmet? Hur upplever anhöriga sin situation samt hur upplever sjuksköterskan mötet med anhöriga och möjligheterna att ge stöd? I metoden har tio vetenskapliga artiklar granskats utifrån Polit et al (2001). Artiklarna hämtades från PubMed och Samsök. Resultatet visade att sjuksköterskorna ansåg att en bra relation samt stöd och kommunikation/information till anhöriga var viktigt. Anhöriga upplevde att de blev utmattade av att vårda den sjuke hemma. Det framkom även att anhöriga upplevde brist på kommunikation och information samt stöd från sjuksköterskorna. De anhöriga upplevde oro och rädsla för att vårda den sjuke hemma men önskade ändå göra det. / Since many persons in need of palliative care have wished to end their lives in their own home it’s important that the nurse also can satisfy the needs of the relatives because the relatives have a key role in home care. The aim of the literature review is to find out and to describe how relatives experience palliative care in their home. The literature review shall answer the questions: How do relatives experience the support providing to them by the nurse? How do the relatives experience their situation and how does the nurse experience the meeting with relatives and their possibility to give support? Ten scientific articles have been reviewed according to Polit et al (2001). The articles were found in PubMed and Samsök. The result showed that nurses considered that a good relationship, support and communication/ information to the relatives were important. Relatives experienced that they were exhausted by caring for the sick one in their home. In the result it also emerged that the relatives experienced a lack of communication, information and support from the nurse and that they experienced fear and anxiety to care for the sick one but they still wished to do so.
