The aim of this study was to expand the range of investigations and referential of the General Theory of Imaginary and, as a purpose, to verify and evidence the correlations between the history, culture, national identity and the Brazilian imaginary represented by the historical-fictional Família Imperial sitcom. In order to do so, through an exploratory bibliographical research, we’ve dedicated to the interweaving of authors who contributed to understand the theory - of the main ones, identity and culture, Brazilian history and Imaginary theory - to figure out its origin and to assure its influence in the studies of culture and daily life. The conception of the dissertation was to implement, in our empirical object, a Critical Myth analysis according to the theory of Gilbert Durand, organized by its methodological (mythdological) stages to reach the planned objectives. As a result, we could examine and understand a sensible anthropological itinerary of our nation – by, or, in the Família Imperial sitcom, demonstrating how several symbolic elements that, using imaginary technologies, such as TV, have been carried out through centuries by the imaginary – by the mythical narratives – shaping and/or affecting the memory of the group, feeding the cultural variations and historical contexts of our country, and the Brazilian people. The outcome of this interpretive journey was, by travelling in a playful and affective space – the sitcom –, in a place of seduction – the TV –, in a feeling of belonging – the history –, to learn that scientific research in the culture scope, especially in the studies of the Imaginary, is vast, complex, and particularly, motivating. / Submitted by Elton Luiz Gonçalves (elton.goncalves@unisul.br) on 2018-03-01T20:07:24Z

Previous issue date: 2017 / Este trabalho tomou como objetivo de estudo ampliar o repertório acerca das investigações e referencial da Teoria Geral do Imaginário e, como propósito, constatar e evidenciar as correlações entre a história, a cultura, a identidade nacional e o imaginário brasileiro representados pela série de TV histórico-ficcional Família Imperial. Para isso, nos dedicamos, através de uma pesquisa exploratória bibliográfica, ao entrelaçamento de autores que contribuíram para compreender a teoria – das principais, identidade e cultura, história do Brasil e teoria do Imaginário –, entender sua origem e assegurar sua influência nos estudos da cultura e do cotidiano. A idealização da dissertação se deu em implementar, em nosso objeto empírico, uma análise mitocrítica segundo a teoria de Gilbert Durand, arranjados por suas etapas metodológicas (mitodológicas) para alcançarmos aos desígnios planejados. Como resultado observado, pudemos examinar e compreender um sensível Trajeto Antropológico da nossa nação – pela, ou, na série Família Imperial – demonstrando como determinados elementos simbólicos que, se utilizando de tecnologias do imaginário, a saber, a TV, perpassam os séculos através do imaginário – das narrativas míticas –, moldam e/ou afetam a memória do grupo, alimentam as variações culturais e os contextos históricos do nosso país, do brasileiro. O efeito dessa jornada interpretativa foi, ao viajar num espaço lúdico e afetivo – a série –, num espaço de sedução – a TV –, no bojo de um sentimento de pertença – a história –, aprender que a pesquisa científica no âmbito da cultura, especialmente nos estudos do Imaginário é vasta, complexa, e particularmente, motivadora.
