El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo demostrar a las empresas del sector la influencia de la norma en el proceso de toma de decisiones. La investigación está dividida en cinco capítulos principales. En el primer capítulo, marco teórico, se desarrollan los constructos que fundamentan el estudio y se establecen los conceptos clave para que el lector se ubique en el contexto de la investigación. El segundo capítulo es el plan de investigación donde se identifica el problema, la hipótesis y objetivos. La metodología de la investigación se ha desarrollado en el tercer capítulo y se ha aplicado una investigación mixta de tipo cuantitativa y cualitativa a fin de recolectar información que permita medir el conocimiento, el entendimiento y la aplicación de la norma en el sector. Seguidamente, en el capítulo cuarto, se desarrollan las herramientas de investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa, y un caso práctico para ilustrar el efecto de la aplicación de la NIC 36. Los resultados de este capítulo se analizan en el quinto capítulo y se pretende encontrar la evidencia necesaria para la comprobación de la hipótesis. Finalmente, se muestran las conclusiones y recomendaciones que surgieron como resultado de la investigación. / This research paper entitled "IAS 36 Impairment of the value of assets and its impact on decision making in companies in the textile sector" aims to demonstrate to companies in the sector the influence of the standard in the process of making decisions. The investigation is divided into five main chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical framework, the constructs that support the study are developed and the key concepts are established so that the reader is placed in the context of the research. The second chapter is the research plan where the problem, the hypothesis and objectives are identified. The methodology of the investigation has been developed in the third chapter and a mixed research of quantitative and qualitative type has been applied to collect information that allows measure the knowledge, understanding and application of the standard in the sector. Then, in the fourth chapter, the tools of qualitative and quantitative research are developed, and a practical case to illustrate the effect of the application of IAS 36. The results of this chapter are analyzed in the fifth chapter and it is intended to find the evidence necessary for the verification of the hypothesis. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations that emerged as a result of the investigation are shown. / Tesis
