The purpose of this study is to investigate how employees at Ramudden perceive and use the intranet. We are answering the questions "How is the intranet perceived by employees at Ramudden?", "To what extent is the intranet used?" and "Which of the internet's features are perceived as most useful by employees?". Through a survey that was sent out to the entire organization in Sweden, we have gained an understanding that answers our research questions. The survey received a total of 136 respondents from different parts of Sweden and different departments. The survey shows that Ramudden employees generally believe that the intranet provides them with the information they need for their daily work, but some employees find it difficult to find what they are looking for and feel that the intranet is not structured enough. The study has been conducted through the theories of organizational culture, intercommunication, organizational communication, and strategic communication. The results have been affected by the number of respondents, which could have been more. The results of the study indicate that it is important to increase the use of the intranet as an information channel for both collective employees and officials. To achieve this, measures are needed such as education in the use of the intranet, improved structure, and removal of unnecessary information. In this way, the intranet can be made more user-friendly and effective as an information channel within the organization.
