This thesis is an attempt to define and analyse Razi's position towards Ibn Sina's metaphysics with special reference to the problem of God's existence. The whole analysis is undertaken within the frameworK of Ghazali's presentation of the conflict between philosophy and religion in Islam. The thesis comprises three parts. The first introductory part defines the theme and the scope of this work, presents the man, the historical context of Razism as well as Razi's conception of theology as the new philosophy of Islam. The second part deals with the theistic problem in Razi's thought. The third part presents Razi theistic proofs.
