Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico / CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo mostrar como os conceitos de paz e justiÃa sÃo fundamentais na RepÃblica Mundial de Otfried HÃffe, tendo como princÃpio norteador a efetivaÃÃo dos Direitos Humanos vÃlidos no mundo todo. Partimos de uma conceituaÃÃo dos dois temas separadamente, nos dois capÃtulos iniciais, e os inserimos no terceiro e Ãltimo capÃtulo mostrando como eles aparecem de maneira concreta nas tarefas e instituiÃÃes da RepÃblica Mundial. No primeiro capÃtulo apresentamos o trajeto que o filÃsofo percorre atà chegar ao conceito de paz perpÃtua, com especial atenÃÃo à obra de Kant, à Paz PerpÃtua (1795), que serve de notÃria inspiraÃÃo para colocar o tema em evidÃncia. EsboÃamos, no segundo capÃtulo, o ponto de vista de HÃffe sobre o tema da justiÃa, mostrando o diÃlogo que mantÃm com pensadores de vÃrios perÃodos da histÃria da filosofia, como PlatÃo, AristÃteles, Kant e John Rawls, tendo neste Ãltimo um importante interlocutor com quem compactua, na maioria das vezes, mas tambÃm critica e propÃe novas idÃias. Por fim, procuramos mostrar no terceiro capÃtulo a inserÃÃo destes dois conceitos na estrutura da RepÃblica Mundial, mostrando possÃveis problemas a serem enfrentados por ela e possÃveis soluÃÃes. Deste modo, chegamos ao ponto central da nossa proposta: esclarecer por que o autor elege a paz para objetivo primordial do seu projeto e identifica na justiÃa o meio mais adequado para consegui-lo. / This work aims to show how the concepts of peace and justice are fundamental in World Republic of Otfried HÃffe, guided by the defense of Human Rights which are valid worldwide. We start from a conceptualization of the two issues separately, in two early chapters, and show in a third and final chapter how they appear in a concrete way inside the tasks and the World Republic institutions. In the first chapter we present the path that the philosopher crosses to reach the concept of perpetual peace, with special attention to Kantâs work, Toward Perpetual Peace (1795), which serves as notorious inspiration to HÃffe. Similarly, on the second chapter we outline HÃffeâs point of view about justice, showing that he maintains dialogue with philosophers from various periods in the Philosophy History, such as Plato, Aristotle, Kant and John Rawls. With this last philosopher, HÃffe keeps an important interlocution, agreeing most of times, but also criticizing and proposing new ideas. Finally, in the third chapter we try showing the integration of these two concepts in the structure of the World Republic, showing potential issues to be faced and its possible solutions. Thus, we come to the central point of our proposal: clarifying the reason why the author chooses peace as big goal of his project and identifies justice as the most appropriate to get it through.
