ABSTRACT Johan Wirzén We Can´t Always Be at Sixes and Sevens! – a Study of Teachers Experiences of Systematic quality work Pages: 40 This study examines teachers´ experiences of Systematic quality work in an educational context. The methodological framework is phenomenography. The empirical material has been collected through the qualitative interview and the method used to process the data has been the phenomenographic method, inspired of the qualitative content analysis method. 12 teachers from various schools have been interviewed. The analysis shows qualitative different categories in the descriptions of Systematic quality work : tool for implementation, tool for planning in improvement purposes, tool for control, tool for indirect control, tool for increase knowledge. The result shows that teachers experience of Systematic quality work substantially is connected to a way of steering the school. The categories of experiences can be parts of the larger themes, Efficiency directed and School developed oriented in terms of steering school development.
