Adaptace českých migrantů v Británii

This diploma thesis topic "Adaptation of Czech Migrants to British culture" is primarily focused on ability of Czech migrants to communicate, work and live in different culture with different traditions and habits. Theoretical part is including terms from intercultural psychology and intercultural communication. In this part there are explanations of most important terms connected with the thesis topic, such as adaptation, intercultural communication, cultural differences and cultural shock. Practical part includes qualitative research, which was done with semi structured interviews with Czech citizens living in The United Kingdom. Aim of the practical part of the thesis is describe the process of adaptation, if Czech migrants go through cultural shock and how difficult is the intercultural communication with Brits. Main goal is to define the differences between Czech and British culture, process of adaptation of Czech migrants and the problems which can occur in this process.
