V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou zachycena a rozvedena témata kultury, firemní kultury a národní kultury. Tyto pojmy jsou dále navázány na praktický případ podniku s mezinárodní působností. Zvoleným podnikem je Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile Czech, s.r.o. nacházející se nedaleko města Kolína. Práce nezaznamenává jen firemní kulturu jmenovaného podniku, ale taktéž popisuje vzájemný vztah jednotlivých národních kultur podniku TPCA Czech, s.r.o., kultury japonské, francouzské a české.

The thesis "School Textbooks of History of Visual Culture for Secondary Art Schools (Didactic analysis of texts)" is focused on the area of visual culture textbooks for professional secondary art education. The secondary art education in the territory of Czech Republic has a long tradition since the middle of 19th century and art history tuition realized in the school subject History of Visual Culture presents a considerable part of professional training of future artists, artisans and craftsmen. The main aim of the school subject is providing students with a complex and systematically structured knowledge of visual culture evolution, art trends and tendencies from the very beginning until the present days. The topic corporate culture in the context of international company is the main subject of this thesis. The theoretical part introduces and describes the concept of culture and national culture, together with the cultural standards and dimensions. The study also defines organizational culture and its elements, strong organizational culture and subculture. Finally, I analyze the impact of the national specifics of the formation of the corporate culture. To demonstrate the theoretical bases in practice I have chosen the company Mars Czech Republic.

Topic of the thesis is to explain the influence of Asia culture on doing business, specifically focused on Chinese market. It analyses cultural differences and points out the importance of culture in business. In the theoretical part, the most important factors as well as all cultural influential factors are mentioned. Definition of culture itself is presented together with basic cultural elements and differeces among cultures. Further on, cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede, one of the eminent world culture-scientist, are described, specifically focused on interaction among different cultures and organisational cultures. Practical part then puts more emphasis on the Chinese business culture itself. Topics such as business negotiation differences are starting the practical part, followed by behaviour patterns after coming to China and meeting future business partners with Chinese roots. After explanation of all the basic differences " on the first sight", author goes more into details and explains detailed differences connected with traditions, rules and all other necessary information about how to behave in the Chinese business enviroment. Thesiś focuses on all formal collective behaviour concepts, which are very important in the Chinese culture as well as its history and philosophy, which influences both their personal and professional life every day.

Diplomová práce popisuje základní představy, hodnoty a postoje zaměstnanců v multinacionální společnosti a jejich přizbůsobení k jiné podnikové kultuře. Dále popisuje, jak může silná podniková kultura ovlivnit pracovní jednání zaměstnanců a současně vytváří specifickou tvář firmy.

This diploma thesis topic "Adaptation of Czech Migrants to British culture" is primarily focused on ability of Czech migrants to communicate, work and live in different culture with different traditions and habits. Theoretical part is including terms from intercultural psychology and intercultural communication. In this part there are explanations of most important terms connected with the thesis topic, such as adaptation, intercultural communication, cultural differences and cultural shock. Practical part includes qualitative research, which was done with semi structured interviews with Czech citizens living in The United Kingdom. Aim of the practical part of the thesis is describe the process of adaptation, if Czech migrants go through cultural shock and how difficult is the intercultural communication with Brits. Main goal is to define the differences between Czech and British culture, process of adaptation of Czech migrants and the problems which can occur in this process.
