FundaÃÃo de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Cearà / Our research aims to describe the rheorical organisation of deposition gender used in verbal interactions of an on-line anonymous group. This group functions through a list of discussion entitled aa-soberness. The approach which has benn give to the theme is based on theoretical presuppositions of Gender Analysis, particulary John M. Swalesâ theoretical contributions (1990). The corpus, constituded by 60 depositions collected from April to October in 1999, was submitted to an exhausting survey whose objective consisted in describing similarities and regularities of rhetorical distribution of units and sub-units of gender information. As a result, we have concluded: a) gender deposition is a form of self-accounting around theme of alcoholism, which is common to the deponents and their interlocutors and which has as nuclear goal the exchange of experiences among alcoholics; b) the gender owns three basic rhetorical units distributed in nine sub-units: rhetorical unit 1 â establishing contact and identification; sub-unit 1.1 â greeting the group members; 1.2 â introducing the deponent; sub-unit 1.3. â thanking for the drinking consumption control; rhetorical unit 2 â comparing experiences before and after his/her membership in anonymouns alcoholic brotherhood; sub-unit 2.1. â making reference to another group message which has brought about the deposition in question; sub-unit 2.2. â accounting experiences about alcoholism; sub-unit 2.3. â commenting the reclaiming after entrance in anonymous alcoholic brotherhood; rhetorical unit 3 â closing the deposition; sub unit 3.1. â saying goodbye to the interlocutors; sub-unit 3.2. â wishing 24 hours of soberness; sub-unit 3.3. â thanking for the attention paid by the group members; sub-unit 3.4. â signing up; c) the frontiers between the beginning and of deposition sub-units are clear-cut through speech acts to which they are subjacent; d) the conduction of information distribution in the gender dovetails to the purposes and principles (the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions) of Anonymous Alcoholic reclaiming program, shaping the deposition gender as a space in which only one alcoholic can make an utterance. / Nossa pesquisa tem como objetivo descrever a organizaÃÃo retÃrica do gÃnero depoimento
utilizado nas interaÃÃes verbais de um grupo on-line de AlcoÃlicos AnÃnimos que funciona
atravÃs de uma lista de discussÃo intitulada aa-sobriedade. A abordagem dada ao tema
baseia-se em pressupostos teÃricos da AnÃlise de GÃneros, particularmente nas
contribuiÃÃes teÃricas de Jonh M. Swales (1990). O corpus, constituÃdo por 60 depoimentos
coletados nos meses de abril e outubro de 1999, foi submetido a um exame exaustivo cujo
objetivo consistiu em descrever as similaridades e regularidades da distribuiÃÃo retÃrica das
unidades e subunidades de informaÃÃo do gÃnero. Como resultado, concluÃmos que: a) o
gÃnero depoimento à uma forma de auto-relato que gira em torno do tema do alcoolismo,
comum aos depoentes e seus interlocutores, e que tem como objetivo nuclear a troca de
experiÃncias entre alcoÃlatras; b)o gÃnero possui trÃs unidades retÃricas bÃsicas distribuÃdas
em nove subunidades: unidade retÃrica 1 â estabelecendo contato e identificaÃÃo â
subunidade1.1 â saudando os membros do grupo, subunidade 1.2 â apresentando o
depoente, subunidade 1.3 â agradecendo pelo controle sobre a bebida; unidade retÃrica 2 â
comparando experiÃncias vividas antes e depois do ingresso na irmandade dos alcoÃlicos
anÃnimos â subunidade 2.1 - fazendo referÃncia a outra mensagem do grupo que tenha
provocado o depoimento em questÃo, subunidade 2.2 â relatando experiÃncias sobre o
alcoolismo, subunidade 2.3 â comentando a recuperaÃÃo apÃs o ingresso na irmandade dos
alcoÃlicos anÃnimos; unidade retÃrica 3- fechando o depoimento â subunidade 3.1 â
despedindo-se dos interlocutores, subunidade 3.2 â desejando de 24 horas de sobriedade,
subunidade 3.3 â agradecendo pela atenÃÃo concedida pelos membros do grupo,
subunidade 3.4 â subscrevendo-se; c) as fronteiras entre o inÃcio e o fim das subunidades do
depoimento sÃo demarcadas por meio dos atos de fala que a elas estÃo subjacentes; d) a
conduÃÃo da distribuiÃÃo das informaÃÃes no gÃnero responde aos propÃsitos e princÃpios
(os Doze passos e as Doze tradiÃÃes) do programa de recuperaÃÃo dos AlcoÃlicos
AnÃnimos, configurando o gÃnero depoimento como um espaÃo no qual somente um
alcoÃlatra pode enunciar.
