As Comunidades Eclesiais de Base (CEBs), concretude da originalidade de um projeto eclesial vinculado à Igreja Católica Progressista, conhecida por igreja dos pobres (Steil), depois de conquistarem um lugar de destaque, para algumas análises perderam significativa visibilidade social e poder de mobilização. Contudo, outras investigações revelam que não se trata de um movimento em processo de extinção, mas de sua consolidação na estrutura da instituição. Esta tese é um estudo sobre as Comunidades Eclesiais de Base (CEBs) na cidade de Lages, Santa Catarina, identificadas no campo empírico por Grupos de Família/Comunidades Eclesiais de Base (GF-CEBs). Referendado em alguns autores considero determinados elementos históricos que apontam para a origem e o desenvolvimento da CEBs no Brasil, em Santa Catarina e em Lages. Através do trabalho de campo entrevisto sujeitos religiosos profissionais envolvidos e integrantes da base social dos GF-CEBs, Privilegiando no testemunho desses sujeitos alguns referenciais que revelam o modo de vida desses Grupos na contemporaneidade. Assim, procuro apreender #os sinais# que se assemelham ou que se distinguem desse jeito de viver o catolicismo das antigas CEBs. No conjunto dos #sinais# identificados foco alguns que indicam um continuum, ou seja, os Grupos de Família descendem das CEBs. Entretanto, outros revelam características que os singularizam. Entre os #sinais# distintivos enfatizo aquele Considerado um dos atos conspícuos (Malinowski) da vida dos Grupos, a Festa das Tendas, interpretada como ritual síntese de mediações, entre elas, o destaque para a mediação da dádiva.
It is known that the brazilian religious field has been changing fastly over the last thirty years. The Ecclesiastical Base Communities (CEBs) are the concretude of the originality of an ecclesiastical project linked to the Progressist Catholic Church, known as church of the poor ones (Steil), after they have conquered a remarked place, according to some analyses, they have lost a significant social visibility and power of mobilization. However, other investigations reveal that it is not a movement in processo of extinction, instead, it is its consolidation in the institution structure. This thesis is a study on the Ecclesiastical Base Communities (CEB´s) in the city Lages, Santa Catarina, indentified within the empirical field as Family Groups/Ecclesiastical Base Communities (FG/CEB´s). Referended by some authors I consider determined historical elements which point out to the origin and the development of the CEB´s in Brazil, in Santa Catarina and in Lages. Through the fieldwork I enterview profissional religious individuals who are envolved and those who integrate the social base of the FG-CEB´s, preveleging in the witnessig of these individuals some referencials which reveal the way of life of these Groups nowaddays. Thus, I seek to learn #the signals# which are similar among to themselves or those which distinguish from this way of living the Catholicism of the ancient CEB´s. In the set of the indentified #signals#, I focalize some that point out a continuum, that is, the Family Groups come up from the CEB´s. However, others show off characteristics which singularize them. Among the distinctive #signals# I stress what is considered one of the conspicuous acts (Malinowski) in the life of the Groups, the #Festival of the Tents#, interpreted as a synthesis ritual of mediations, among them, the remarking for the mediation of the gift.
