literatura marginal. A investigação procura ampliar o debate estabelecido pela crítica literária acerca da malandragem e da marginalidade na obra do autor. Para isso, busca-se entender quais são os componentes do discurso malandro, a partir de outra produção cultural, o samba. A partir de características dessa poética em forma de música, verifica-se ser possível estabelecer uma ponte entre a obra de João Antônio e a literatura marginal e compreender
parcialmente, o porquê da permanência da produção do autor no campo dessa expressão
contemporânea. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation inquires into the reasons why João Antônio aligns nowadays with
marginal literature. The investigation attempts to extend the debate settled by literary criticism about the roguery and the marginality in the author’s work. For such an attempt, it tries to understand what are the components of the roguish speech trough another cultural production, the samba. From the characteristics of this poetry in the form of music, it was verified the possibility to establish a bride between Joao Antônio’s literary composition and marginal literature to understand, partially, the why in the permanence of the writer’s works in the field of this contemporary expression.
