This study investigate, through qualitative deep interviews, the opinions of three High School PE teachers and three High School principals, considering the subject section Health and lifestyle, the distribution of educational time and if the respondents believe it would be beneficial for the students to divide the subject into two separate subjects. The results of the study shows that the respondent’s sees individual health as the key to balancing life, and that knowledge about health and lifestyle is hugely important. The respondents that are teachers’ experience that the students aren’t receiving a complete education. The respondents consider that the purpose of Physical Education is to introduce the students for a life-long learning. Despite the educational goal, health and lifestyle isn’t prioritized by the teachers. The majority of the respondents are positive to splitting the subject into two. Mainly for a more focused health education and greater emphasis on health within the school world. As a consequents of the results above, the majority of the respondents are in favor of a subject separation. Mainly to be able to have a bigger emphasis on health and a more concentrated health education, but also for promoting the life-long learning.
