223593.pdf: 2119244 bytes, checksum: 485a5932079ab3e87b4390a14e3ded3b (MD5) / A partir do embasamento teórico da definição de competência, que enfoca a dimensão dos conceitos de conhecimento, habilidade e atitude, este estudo pretendeu determinar as competências individuais necessárias aos bacharéis em turismo da cidade de Manaus, que lhes possibilitassem condições de competitividade segundo a percepção dos hoteleiros locais e alunos da Faculdade Alfa que atuam nesse setor. Partindo do princípio de que a cidade de Manaus possui um número bastante expressivo de faculdades de Turismo, 07 ao todo, considerou-se que uma parte significativa dos egressos destes cursos poderia ser absorvida direta e indiretamente pelo setor hoteleiro da cidade, caso apresentassem competências, no que corresponde aos conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes condizentes com a realidade do setor. Assim, os resultados desta pesquisa podem ser úteis, tanto às Instituições de Ensino Superior em Turismo, quanto aos hoteleiros e bacharéis em turismo da cidade de Manaus. Em relação às Instituições de Ensino, estas poderão adequar sua estrutura curricular às necessidades do segmento hoteleiro, enquanto formação de profissionais; quanto aos hoteleiros, estes poderão, como resultante do processo, obter profissionais melhor qualificados ao desempenho de suas funções; e por último aos bacharéis em turismo a possibilidade de ampliação das áreas de atuação e empregabilidade. O trabalho foi constituído de um levantamento preliminar dos dados para estruturação das competências relevantes aos bacharéis segundo a ótica dos hoteleiros de Manaus, com base em uma investigação empírica junto aos gestores das unidades hoteleiras e alunos do curso de turismo, com o intuito de coletar dados para identificação da percepção sobre competências individuais. A fundamentação teórico-metodológica foi baseada nas teorias pré-existentes sobre o tema, por meio do levantamento em livros, artigos científicos, revistas especializadas, dissertações e periódicos. Classificou-se a pesquisa como quantitativa e qualitativa. Quantitativa em função dos dados coletados junto a um número representativo de alunos e gestores hoteleiros, por meio de questionários estruturados com escalas de avaliação. Qualitativa pois foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com gestores e alunos do curso de turismo da Faculdade Alfa, quando os entrevistados tiveram a oportunidade de expor suas idéias, e descrever situações e destacar circunstâncias vivenciadas no seu dia-a-dia. Ademais trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, descritiva e aplicada, à medida que pôde permitir a concretização de informações relevantes na área de competências para bacharéis em turismo na área hoteleira, em que há pouco conhecimento acumulado e sistematizado, principalmente em Manaus, e que possam servir como parâmetros orientadores para os profissionais do segmento. De outro modo, determinou-se um paralelo comparativo entre as percepções dos gestores da hotelaria e estudantes de turismo, acerca das competências individuais relevantes para o setor hoteleiro na cidade de Manaus.
From the theoretical basement of the competence definition, that focuses the dimension of the concepts of knowledge, ability and attitude, this study intended to determine the necessary individual competences to the bachelor in tourism of the city at Manaus, that competitiveness conditions made possible according to the perceptions of the local hotel and pupils of the Alpha College that act in this sector. Leaving of the principle that the city of Manaus has a sufficiently expressive number of college in Tourism, 07 to all, were considered that a significant part of the egresses of these courses could be absorbed directly and indirectly by the hotel sector of the city, in case that they presented abilities, that corresponds to the knowledge, ability, and attitudes that agree with the reality of the sector. Thus, the results of this research can be useful, as much as Institutions of Superior Education in Tourism, hotels and bachelors in tourism of the city of Manaus. In relation Institutions of Education these will be able to adjust its curricular structure to the hotel necessities of the hotel segments, while the profissional formation, and the hotels will be able as resultant of the process, to get better qualified professionals to the performance of its functions; and finally to the bachalor of tourism, the possibility of magnifying of the performance areas and employmently. The work was constituted of a preliminary survey of the data for the structural of the excellent competences relevant to the bachelor like the optics of the Manaus hotels, on the basis of a together empirical inquire to the managers of the hotel units and students of the tourism course, with intention to collect given for identification of the perception on individual competences. The recital theoretician-methodological was based on the existing theories about this subject, for the survey in books, scientific articles, specialized magazines, compositions and periodics. The research was classified in quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative in function of the data collected together to a representative number of students and hotel managers, by means of questionnaires structuralized with evaluation scales. Qualitative because the interviews was structuralized with managers and through pupils of the course of tourism in the Alpha College, where the interviewed ones had had the chance to display its ideas, and to describe situations and to detach circumstances lived deeply in its day-postpone. This is an exploratory, descriptive and applied research that could allow the concretion of excellent relevant information in the area of competences for bachalor in tourism at the hotel area, where has little accumulated and systemize knowledge, mainly in Manaus, and that they can serve as orienting parameters for profissionals of segment. In another way, was determined a comparative parallel between the managing perceptions of the hotels and tourism students, about the excellent individual competences for the hotel sector at the city of Manaus.
